Is it worth doing Discovery Cove without the dolphin package? We were planning to go in July but we recently went to an aquarium and she freaked out over the sting rays so I'm afraid the dolphin swim will be a no go. Is it worth going without the Dolphin package or should we wait until she's older?

the dolphin swim is not necessary to have a great day

HOWEVER the 'main attraction' IMO is the "Grand Reef" and here a lot of critters INCLUDING rays are free swimming with you ...

if your folks would not want to play in this area OR the dolphin swim then I'd say NO not worth the $$ .... this was shot with iPhone in Grand Reef . . .

I agree with the above. I would do DC in a heartbeat with no dolphin swim.

But I would not bother if you are not going to do the grand reef either - at that point, you are paying for a beach, a lazy river (really 2 lazy river areas) and an aviary.

Of course, if you can get absurdly good deals in the off season, it may be worth a low price for those things, and the free food/drinks all day, as a quiet day amidst busy theme park days. (Last fall I saw days at $77. At that price, go! But I doubt they'll have Covid fall prices ever again).

we don't support dolphin swims (no shade or disrespect for those who do- just our personal beliefs) and had a fantastic day just doing the regular DC package. It's a nice place.

This.
Its a beautiful place, relaxing. Food included.
A couple things to consider (don’t know how old your daughter is, thought I would mention)…the grand reef is awesome, but big fish and rays swim by and it’s COLD - i get cold easy so I found the full length wetsuit ideal for me, that was in October. May go with the shortie in August.
The bigger lazy river goes through the aviary..because of this, you have to go UNDER a waterfall on the way in and out (it’s to keep the birds in). That is one part I don’t like because I felt like I had to keep a really good hold on my son (he was 6) and tell him to hold his breath going under the falls. And I can’t touch the bottom there. Thought I would mention because it took me by surprise the first time :), but he did well and didn’t mind it, and we’re going back in August. You do get noodles to use. And there is a lifeguard posted there.
