DC end of Jan?

Hello Everyone! Happy 2012!

I will be going to Discovery Cove at the end of Jan ~ Jan 29th to be exact, and I was wondering if anyone could give me a heads up of what the weather usually might be like during this time? I will be doing the dolphin swim with my family so, hopefully, not too cold! brr!

Quite honestly, it could be beautiful or it could be cold.

We were in Orlando from December 31 to January 7th inclusive. The first two days were beautiful.....very warm and sunny (thankfully, that's when our DC visit occured). Then they had the "Florida Freeze" (lows into the 40's, highs in low 50's) for the next two days. Definitely a huge difference in temperatures in a very short period of time! Then it was back to warm by the weekend.

The lazy river water is VERY warm, so it would be a great place to hang out in the event that your DC day is a cool one. The grand reef is also very comfortable. The dolphin water is kept at 77 degrees year around.

There are heaters here and there that you can stand under to dry yourself off and warm up if need be. The wetsuits also really help in keeping you comfy.

Hope you have a wonderful time!!! DC is beautiful......it was our best day of vacation, hands down.

I actually know the kind of "Florida Freeze" you're talking about because I went there the Christmas - New Year week of 2010 and I experienced the same thing! But thank you for the response! I guess should the weather turn out to be a bit on the chilly side, I'll just opt for the wet suit

Hi, we are going on jan 28 almost the same day we live in Orlando and the weather so far is fantastic I'm watching the weather and is looking very good will be rainy the dy before but will be around 78-80 not bad at all
