Has anyone here been to the Discovery Cove? I have soo many questions I was hoping someone could answer.
Did you swim with the dolphins? Is the "park" a full day experience?
Did you have children with you?

I´m wondering how to go about having 3 kids who can do the dolphin swim and 2 who can´t (too young)? Could we do the swim in 2 different groups so that one adult can stay with the 2 youngest kids and then swap?

Are there any "baby friendly" places? Our youngest will only be 6 months.

DS and I went to Discovery Cove in 2006. He did the dolphin swim, and I didn't. I found a good place to watch him, and got my joy out of that since I'm a cheapskate. When we went, they just told us our dolphin time, but I'd bet if I had asked for a different time, they would have tried to accommodate me. (Call DC and ask about how they schedule the swims--I bet they've had this come up before and will know how to handle it.)

Oh and have fun! I loved DC and found it to be the most relaxing day of my vacation that year. :)

We myself, DH, DS's 2, 2 and 4 did DC this past Feb. I swam with the dolphins and the kids watched from the beach. The lifegaurds there let them watch and splash in the water. They could see the dolphins very well. They come in quite shallow. We didn't spend an entire day. We arrived around 10 and left around 4. It was hard for the 2 yr olds. There aren't any truely baby areas. Mined loved the pool and the river. And the birds were a huge hit. But they couldn't really do the ray lagoon. I would do it again though. It was a lovely day and we all had lots of fun.

i done it last year it was just me and my df. we were told the earlier you arrive the earlier your time (first come first served).we arrived at 9am and our time was 10am (something like that). id say if you got there at opening they would have no problem in organising it for you to do a split swim.
we stayed till 4/5pm -swimming with the dolphins, fish, rays, avery and they have a lovely big pool. great day!:)
