Daytona and Disney

Thinking about making my reservations to match up with the 2005 Daytona 500 race -

My question is - has anyone done the race from there DVC stay?

What kind of traffic / time frame is there from Disney to Daytona on the day of the race?

I think the drive is normally about an hour...but I'd count on more time that weekend.

All I can say is...

***Do Not Go To MK on the Saturday before the race!***

BTDT last year...never again! Though it did finally clear out around 9pm...and we stayed til 11 riding as many rides as we could!

We would more likely to the Saturday / Sunday race - cheaper as a package for both days
