Can you recommend a safe area to stay in? We'd like and Air B n B but hotel would be okay - j under about 30 min drive to UD arena

We've stayed in the Beavercreek area, and also around the southern 75/675 split. And I think Fairfield Commons.

Another vote for both Beavercreek and the Air Force Museum... you can easily spend a whole day there - it's huge.

You could also look around Oakwood, Kettering, Centerville or Miamisburg.
