Has anyone stayed here? Thnking of this place because we need a seperate bedroom for daughters boyfriend nad the price is right.

We stayed there a couple of years ago & will stay there again in July. We liked it. There was plenty of room, a nice size kitchen & it was great to have a seperate bedroom. You really can't beat the price. :)

This place has gotten mixed reviews here though I don't know why.

We stayed there in November 2002 and thought it was a great deal. We paid $39.95/nite for a very large 1-bedroom suite. It was clean and comfortable though I'll admit it was old and kind of worn. The staff was great and very quick to resolve a couple of minor problems we encountered during our stay.

Location is great - right next to Old Town, a fun place to spend an evening or two.

We may well stay there again this November when we go down. We haven't decided yet.

Thanks for the info. We leave is about 3 weeks. Can't wait. This will be first trip down for daughters boyfriend.

Keep in mind that this is a basic hotel. No frills here. If you want pots, pans, dishes etc, you have to rent them. I suggest bringing paper plates, disposable utensils and using the microwave if you are planning breakfast in the room. It has a lot of space and if all you need is a place to sleep, you will not be disappointed.

jorosam,
I have not stayed there, or even been yet we go 23 day, not that I'm counting or anything, but I was looking to stay there too and I have a thread here somewhere and it didn't talk too hightly of the place. Others talked how worn out it was and red ants where a problem. I am now staying (1st night then on to AKL then PBR!!!) at the Quality Suites next to it. It has been remodeled and seems nicer. Good price off their site and I like the free beverages too. Good luck on your choice. YO

I went here last October with extremely low expectactions and was still disappointed at what we got. We saved a bundle of money...but it was not unlike staying in your little brothers college dorm. It wasn't the cleanest place, the furniture was beat and, yes...we had ants.

When we go to Kissimmee, we don't spend much time in our hotel room. I just want a comfortable, clean place to go to sleep at night. In this regard, Days Suites did not deliver. I will tell you however, that the location of this place is excellent!

If I was going to do that last trip over again I'd stay in another property without hesitation. Our vacation was great, but this hotel just didn't cut it. Not even at $69 a night.

Your results may vary. ;)

Our experience. We stayed at the days inn suites at old town just east of WDW in September 2002. The rate was incredibly cheap, but the room did not resemble the online pics. It looked like it had seen a few too many spring breaks. After we checked in and read a note in the room about housekeeping and what you needed to do during your stay and that if you left the kitchen dirty you would be charged extra. We found half a six pack in the fridge. The cabinets were not completely clean. The bathroom had a slow toilet and a slightly leaky showerhead. The wall behind the murphy bed had a fist sized hole in it. One of the lights in the room did not work. I always give the room a once over on check in so I can notify the front desk of any problems, so I'm not blamed/billed for them later. We decided we could live with these things as we would not spending much time in the room. I can't say I remember any ant problems that some have mentioned.

On checkout day as we we're packing up our kitchen stuff, we found a bug in the cupboard. I'm no expert, it appeared to be a cockroach. I caught it in a cup, and took it to the front desk and showed it to them. They say it was some type of palm or palmetto bug ( it's been almost 2 years ). They ended up taking a few bucks off the bill for the bug and the fact that nobody ever came to clean the kitchenette. Our 6 day 5 night stay was apx. $225. They never really responded to complaints. Days Inn corporate sent me an e-mail in regards to my complaint saying that they regretted any problems, however, it was not a company owned facility, but they would pass my concerns on to the management. Yeah, right.

Put me on the side of people who would NEVER stay here again.

Pretty much all Days Inns in Florida are not the greatest..there are so many other places to stay..I would not stay there based on what I have read

FWIW, Palmetto bugs ARE roaches! They are very common in florida, especially in the warmer months.

Thanks for the reports.

Why not try to find something on Skyauction.com?

We rented from Skyauction 4 times and have never pais over $300 for a week including taxes and have stayed at great resorts for the same price you are saying you will pay at a motel...Just my 2 cents...

Just be carefull if you are referring to Days Inn Eastgate, which is located in

5245 W. Hwy 192,
Kissimmee, FL

we were pretty close to Old Town. We got a pretty good rate, $40 p/night (tax and "continental" breakfast included). I felt like maybe I should have brought water shoes with me to step into the shower...not very clean...

The last day we found a small roach in our bed :earseek: It was very disgusting but since we were already on our way out we did not mention it to the staff. The "continental" breakfast turned out to be overdone coffe and some packed sausage sandwiches...we tried it the first morning and ran to the nearest IHOP.

Just a word of advice,
