For anyone who has done the CP, is it possible to get a couple of days off ever? I am looking into doing it and I was just wondering if you can request days off. Thanks!

you can always request...just never know if you get it. You can always call in though.

If there are days that you will know that you want off (ex. birthday), request them WAY in advance.

Can you ever get like 3-4 days off in a row?

You can try requesting Friday-Monday off. But there's no guarantees, and that would be 2 weeks worth of days off.

And in requesting days off (like if you knew you had family coming to visit or something) way in advance, does it count against you or anything?

I don't think so. I had requested my birthday and days off for my family well in advanced. I got my birthday off, and i got 2 of the 3 days off I had asked for family. It all depends.

I remember reading somewhere about getting reprimands for calling out. Is that something completely different? Like calling out the day of work, instead of asking for a day off before the schedules far in advance have been made? I hope you understand what I mean? :P I remember something about a point system or something, but I didn't really know how it all worked.

Yes. Calling out of work is totally different then requesting days off. There is a point system for how many times you call out. After a certain amount you start getting reprimands. If you get a certain amount of those, then you will get terminated. So you have to be careful. I never called in because I was afraid of getting in trouble (I did request early shift releases, which I got a lot of :teeth: ).

Thanks Joanna for the explanation!

You get points for clocking in early? Do you mean like way early or even just a few minutes early? Like I could understood if they didn't want people to try to take advantage and get extra pay, but I usually like to be like 2-5 minutes early for work. :P

there is a 15 minute window on both ends. Say you work at 13:00 you can clock in at 12:45. you work until 20:00, you have until 20:15. After that its a point.

Its a half of a point on each end. If i remember correctlly

Oh alright, that's not too bad. I probably wouldn't clock in earlier than 15 minutes before my shift anyway. Thanks!

My fiance is coming home (he's a Marine) and I requested a Friday and Saturday off. Then I'm going to call in Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (if you call in sick 3 days in a row it's only 1 point) so I get 5 days total. It's all about working the system.

Plus, points clear after 30 days. Therefore, according the the calander schedule I have worked out, I can take off most weekends the last month I'm here and never have to worry about getting termed. Play the system new CPs, play the system!

Here's another example of the system: If you're late, don't be like 1/2 hour late. You get up to 2 hours after your scheduled start time to be considered late and get 1/2 point. If you're going to be late, be 2 hours late.

It took me about 2 weeks before I realized all this. Thank goodness I do now. And thank goodness I have to coolest coordinators and managers at Frontierland. I <3 Splash.

How far in advance do you find out if you have got the day you requested off??
