I don't know if anyone plans on staying here or has ever stayed here. Days inn lake buena vista its not the best hotel was okay for us on our first trip in 2004. We only paid $39 a night & it is right next to the entrance to dtd. But i was just told that it will be closing in March 2006

I wonder what's going on with Days Inn! Several of this hotels in the Orlando area are closing, either for remodelations, but some are shut for good or sold to another hotel chain like Choice Hotels!

We just made reservations for this place for one night, Easter week. Where did you get this information from? Is this place really bad? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I was told by an online reservation discounthotels.cc i have used them a couple of times in the past. I had stayed at this hotel in 2004 so i am still un sure on were we are staying. So i thought i would see what kind of rate i could get through them. Today they emailed me back saying that they was told in March 2006 that the hotel would be closing. That they was not making any reservation after that time.

As for this hotel being bad when we went in 2004 it was your normal days inn rooms were clean, cleaning service changed bed sheets every day as well as cleaned the room entirely. The customer service desk was real nice & it is in the best location.

You might want to call them & ask about it.

ok, this is not the same as Days inn Maingate east in Kissimee? We are spending 2 days there in March before heading to Boadwalk Villas.

No, this is not the same place. Lake Buena Vista is north of WDW. Your hotel is south on Hwy 192. Hope you don't expect much from it, and I hope you didn't pay too much for it. Most if not all the Days Inns near WDW don't get very good reviews.

The Days Inn Maingate West is closed, too. Don't know if it's temporary or permanent. The sign is gone, so I'm assuming it is permanent. When I was there in May 2004 I think I saw 3 cars in the lot the whole week. I wasn't sure if it was even open or not then. However, on my Dec 05 trip, the sign was gone and it was surrounded by a chainlink fence.

Is this the one at 12799 S Apopka Vineland Rd? I have noticed the name change lately as the LBV Hotel.
We enjoyed staying here in the 80's & 90's before all the Disney Value Hotels were built and we couldn't afford the others. It wasn't the Hilton, but it was clean and cheap. It also had great views from the balcony and it felt magical being that close to DTD. We could walk to Disney from there.

yes it is the one on 12799 apopka vineland road & we stayed in 2004. Your right is not a resort or a real fancy hotel. but it was cheap for us & was nice staff & clean rooms. Also the name has changed to lbv hotel.

I was wondering why we couldn't get reservations at this place! We stayed there in June and it wasn't fancy at all, but for the money and the location, it was a great place to sleep. Sleeping and showering are all we use our room for anyway! The breakfast was good too and the kids were free!

This place gets really mixed reviews-- it's 2 doors down from Old Town. I have actually stayed here twice though. This was 2002 & 2003. I would really shop around though and be sure to get an excellent rate. I know we had rates of $19.99 (this was 2002 shortly after 9/11 and travel was waaaay down) and then $28 in 2003.

The hotel is a no frills, nothing fancy hotel. We were in a pool view room the first trip and actually found this room to be much nicer and in better condition than the room we had the second trip which was parking lot view.

I talked to someone at the front desk, who by the way was VERY nice, and she also said that they would close in March, and probably be open again in June or July. She said that they had not even confirmed the date that they would be closing. I asked if it was no longer a Days Inn and she said, no it is now LBV, so I am guessing that the owner got tired of paying for the franchise and decided to go at it on his own, and remodel. I hope their rates stay low!

This was the absolute best location for the price!

Does anyone know of anything close that's pretty inexpensive? I made reservations at Days Suites at Old Town, but after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I'm really starting to worry! I need to add that we travel with our 2 boys and our nephew, so there are 5 of us.

I contacted AAA as we had made the reservation through them. The gentlemen told me that they have a contract with them and that they do not have any information on the hotel closing. I then contacted the hotel . The front desk stated the they are not sure when they will be closing. It was supposed to be by 2/28 but has been extended a month. They assured me that if the hotel were to close that we would have another room to meet our needs. I am not sure if I like this arrangement. We are shceduled for an 8:05 breakfast at Crystal Palace the next AM and need to be close to the Magic Kingdom.
