I'm hoping for some expert advice :thumbsup2 on which days to visit the parks before and after the Halloween Party. We're going to the Oct. 10 (Friday) party. Also planning to visit the parks during the day Friday and Saturday. Is DL going to be more or less crowded on the day of the party? What about DCA? I'm thinking of doing DL all day Friday, including the party, and then doing DCA all day Saturday. This would save a few bucks on not doing hopper passes, which is always a bonus. We will also have some time Thursday evening and Sunday morning, if that matters.

Also, my kids are 9 & 11 and love to do all the biggies. We haven't been to Cars Land yet, so that will be a priority.

Thanks!!

If you are not staying at one of the DL Resort Hotels, then it seems like a good choice to do DL on Friday and DCA on Saturday because those would be the days those parks don't already have Magic Morning guests in the park when it opens to the general public.

As for DL being more crowded on the day of the MHP, I can't say for sure, but it seems like it might be less crowded than a normal Friday up until 4pm. I would think people would want to avoid DL that day if they aren't going to the MHP, especially if they don't have park hoppers, since they'd be forced cut their day short at 7pm.

This is what we are doing. Today at DLP, MHP tonight, DCA tomorrow. I'll report back about DCA but DLP today was VERY manageable crowd-wise. So much so that we got a front of the line pass today (indy broke down, we had to walk off) and ended up giving it away because we hadn't used it by the time we headed out for naptime.

Edit: important note: we weren't there for most of the dreaded "overlap" time where MHP attendees and regular park goers were in the park at the same time. I'd imagine it was quite a bit busier then, but it sounds from the Halloween thread like maybe it wasn't as bad as some feared. These are the hours of 3-7. We decided to use this for our break time today.

Something to keep in mind:
The Halloween fireworks are a key feature of the party, but unfortunately can be cancelled due to weather (rain or wind). If the Friday Halloween fireworks are cancelled, Saturday will have Halloween fireworks.

oh seriously? I had no idea! Thanks so much for noting this. We are doing DCA today but may have to hop over for the fireworks show.
