I was just on the resorts board and a post mentioned that the Americans are changing to daylight savings time on March 11. I remember this being a big controversy last year but I can't remember what ever came of it. When do we switch to daylight savings time in Canada? Are we following along with the Americans? I know it may be different in every province. Anyone know about Ontario????

In Ontario, daylight savings time starts on March 11, 2007 and ends on November 4, 2007.

We have received so many e-mails on the topic at work.

Thanks for the update. I wasn't expecting it until the end of the month. Glad to see we are keeping pace with the Americans it would have been a logistical nightmare otherwise.

Bring it on. I have it marked on the calendar already! It really makes the winter seem shorter. My kids have to catch the bus to school every morn at 7:15am. It will be so nice to not have to go to school in the dark!:cool1:

If I'm not mistaken isn't the change going to affect the kids as it will be dark when they leave for school as you "spring" ahead? I remember parents complaining about this early time change?

Guess I just had my blonde moment for the day.:lmao: Thanks for the correction:rotfl: I am so wanting spring to come. It literally has not stopped snowing for weeks here.

Boy do I know what you mean!!!!!!!:goodvibes I've got cabin fever and I need another trip to Florida....QUICKLEY!!!!!

drag n' fly

I'm sick of the snow too. We just moved into our new on on Jan 31 - the first day of this incredibly long, never-ending snow streak. We've just about worn out the new snow shovel!

We wake up at 5am to beat the Deerfoot rush so i'm not looking forward to "springing ahead." Ugh.

The snow the last few days has been different....nice skiing snow. It is all fluffy and powdery. When we got back from WDW it was piled at least 3 feet deep on the sides of the driveway. Dh takes the 301 express everyday so we don't drive downtown. I am sure though if one does it is a huge headache!
Congrats on your new house!

If i were the type to find pleasure in throwing myself down a icy incline with large pieces of plastic strapped to my feet I might like the big fluffy snow but I do not. The snow is just making me tired and grumpy now. Lets see what it does to traffic today

How was your trip? Everything you had hoped for?
