Day to Day Reservations?

I want to book a 1 bedroom Savanah view at AKV for Dec 21 - 26. Should I book one day at a time starting on 1/22 or should I just wait until Jan 26 and book all of them? It's my home resort, so I can book 11 months in advance. I really want to stay there for Christmas.

If I should book a day at a time, how do I do that?

Is MS used to that or do they get annoyed with it?

Being that is over Christmas, and AKV is still small, I'd probably call day by day for that ressie this time.

I would call day by day too. MS knows how to do this...they will ask what your check out date is and will keep the confirmation from going out until all days are reserved. I did this for our huge family trip which we just got back from last Saturday. I would call right when MS opens.

I say that if it's a reservation you really want, go ahead and do it. There are some people out there that tell you that they have never had a problem making any reservation and they would just wait, but if it's a reservation you really want, then why not call day by day? It's a tool available to you so do it.

For a Christmas stay I would not only book day by day, but I would call as soon as MS opens in the morning. These dates will go fast.

well the most rooms are in the savannh view at AKV - so that is in your favor.

call MS on Jan 22 and ask them - how it looks.

they will tell you if you need to call back every day - or if you can wait.

remember too by Dec,2008 - that some of the Kidani (sp?) should be open.

MS is very use to it.

It was MS who told us (the Dis) back in 95 (might have been sooner) to do it for the popular weeks.

in those times you couldn't even reserve Christmas week - you had to put in your request 2 years in advance - then they would have a lottery which included all the DVC resorts - even VB and HH.
Guess what the entire time they had the lottery it was not needed. Not enough DVC members wanted to spend their Christmas week at a DVC resort.

they really need to think about redoing this lottery. Seems like alot of the new members want to do Christmas at WDW.

We are going the first 2 weeks in December and I have started with my day by day ressies, The CM told me I am very Wise in doing this because it is such a popular time and it couldn't be easier!!. Oh we are going to BCV and i am also doing a day by day for friends who will come with us. tomorrow day # 3
