We have been to WDW many times (now DVC owners :) ) but are taking our first cruise on the Wish next May. We have booked concierge level and have read that you can get free alcohol in the lounge from 5-10pm. If we want an alcoholic drink on the sun deck on concierge level is there a bar there where you can purchase drinks or do we have to go to the bars on the main deck?

Do they provide alcohol on request during the day like in club level at the WDW resorts?

When the sundeck bar was open/staffed, usually in the afternoon, we have ordered drinks there. Sometimes in the mornings they have a bloody mary, mimosa offering. You can order those and charge them to your room.

You can order alcoholic drinks at any of the bars, including the sun deck bar, any time they are open. They are only complimentary at the concierge lounge bar during the happy hour period.
I can confirm this. We were concierge on the Treasure January 11th sailing.

All I can say is be super nice and friendly to the concierge team. The nicer and more pleasant you are to them, the more they will go above and beyond for you.

I personally wouldn't ask for anything too crazy from them if the sundeck bar isn't open, but if you handed them your card (so they understand you aren't trying to get anything that isn't included for free) and asked if it was possible for them to grab you a couple of beers or something (something easy they can just grab from a fridge somewhere), I'm sure that is something that could be arranged. The worst thing that will happen is that they won't be able to get them for you.

There is a bar on the sun deck which may not be staffed. The bar in the lounge is staffed all day.

Can you buy a drink in the day from the lounge?

Gosh I sound like a lush but do enjoy a lunchtime cocktail on a sun lounger and don't want to have to walk far!

Yes you can buy a drink. No one will accuse you of being a lush...we had mimosas every morning:) It's vacation and more important you are on island time... where time in the real world doesn't count. :DThere are two sundecks, one on the 12 floor where the lounge is and one on the 13th floor. The bar on the 13th floor is the one that is not always staffed. From the 12th floor deck just walk inside the lounge and the bar is right there.

I'm guessing you mean Drink of the Day specifically -- I've had mixed luck on this. Sometimes if the Drink of the Day has a weird ingredient they won't have it in the lounge. That said I've also experienced the lounge bartender running off to find something from somewhere else on the ship if it's not busy and it's someone I've already established a relationship with (see someone else's post about being nice to the hosts). I have never ordered it during the daytime (when I would be charged) though, so I can't say for sure they'd charge you the Drink of the Day price.

And don't even sweat wanting a daytime cocktail. There are people wandering around the pool deck all day with cocktail menus for a reason! Not to mention all the afternoon beverage seminars (including some where I've seen people do them back to back...those are the true heroes).

I didn’t even realise there was a drink of the day - I meant just any old cocktail but that does sound intriguing.

I could certainly get used to this concierge life - it’s supposed to be a one off to see if we like a cruise but I can see us getting hooked!
