Day 7 Thursday, May 5th (the big 05-05-05!!!!) 
Well, the big Celebration finally arrives!! We saw our first sign that morning at our front door the newspaper had been put inside this large Celebration envelope with pics of Soarin and stuff on it. Nice touch WDW!
They ended up canceling our special media breakfast at MK because of rain so we all got free breakfast at Boma. I have to say it was pretty good, but Crystal Palace is still my favorite. We tried the special Boma juice, but decided we preferred the regular old orange juice instead. Im not much for hot breakfast; the chocolate croissants were my favorite, and the waffles.
I would definitely eat here again if I was staying at AKL, but wouldnt make a special trip over from another resort.
After breakfast we headed over to our other room at the Poly to check on Mom and the kids. We decided to forgo the media bus and went to MK on our own from the Poly by boat. We saw the official grand opening for Cinderellabration, but missed the Vacathalon because the boys wanted to go ride rides. We did however meet several of the Vacathalon families later that night at the press event, and rode Soarin with the winners!
They said it was really challenging, I wish we would have seen it.

We made our way back to the castle at 1:00 pm for the big celebration moment. We had just missed Diana Degarmo sing (bummer!!!) but we were able to catch the live broadcast from Disneyland (got that all on tape) and then the big finale in front of the castle with three famous Broadway singers (cant remember their names off the top of my head) hosted by funny guy Wayne Brady. Since we were inside the media ropes we were all given gold ears to keep and an extra set to throw. It was a cool moment when everyone threw their ears up in the air and confetti came showering down over us.
As we were walking out I got to meet another DISer Julia&NicsMom which was cool. I didnt get to talk to her long though because dh was giving me the lets go NOW look from behind. Sorry Julia&NicsMom!!!!
We had to get the boys and my Mom back to the Poly so we could drive back to AKL to get ready for another big press event night!
Once again Disney cruise buses took us from AKL to the party, this time at Epcot. We were greeted at the entrance by Epcot castmembers dressed as Californians which was cool. They gave each of us a painters palette type plate with appetizers and also red or white wine. Also we were given a program and map of the nights events. It mapped out where the different food stations were, what would be served, and where the different stages were located.
