From what I understand it is only offered noon-1pm, costs $149 and snacks & drinks are provided. If you have done this, what were the snacks? Did you enjoy the boat ride? Would you do it again? Does the captain provide any commentary or is it similar to just riding around in the friendship boats?
Trying to decide if this is something we want to do.

We've done it twice, love it (family of 4). Snacks were Doritos, pretzels, Lay's, cookies. A cooler of water and pop cans was also provided and both times we brought our own bottle of wine (no corkscrew on board, nor cups) and fancy olives from Publix. The captain talked about WDW, some facts/insight/comments. We had the same captain both times. He seems to love working for Disney, and it was a pleasure riding around the lake with him. We'd definitely do it again.

For that price I’d just ride around on the friendship boats (pretty much the same thing) and use the money to do HEA dessert party or maybe an illuminations cruise, which is great. Pirates and pals was great too. But you obviously miss the projections from HEA, but you get a great view of the FW and the electrical water pageant. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see the point of this.

It isn't cheap, but - we were between AP's both times. So NO park entry cost for us either time. We felt it was a trade off: it gave us a little taste of World Showcase (& DHS, but more so WS) because the boat gets really close to the countries. The one we did for DD's birthday, the boat was decorated, and the Mariachi band in the Mexico pavilion serenaded her with the HB song.
I'm not sure we'd do it when we have park passes....

I just recently did this and thought it was a lot of fun!

I have been on friendship boats across World Showcase, but you really get to appreciate all the details of each country better this way. I for one never knew/saw a boat docked by America, etc. Snacks were the same as previously mentioned: various chips, pretzels, cookies, brownies, water, and soda. You can also order from private dining at the YC/BC, but we had a late breakfast at Ale & Compass. My captain also shared a lot of information about Epcot and Hollywood Studios. My birthday was this week and the boat also had a banner and balloons and numerous people were waving and shouting happy birthday throughout the entire boat ride.

Our boat ride was also 90 minutes which is different than what I read online and was told over the phone. You make two trips around World Showcase, then go all the way to Hollywood Studios, and dock back at the YC.

I would definitely do it again!
