Day before we leave..kids has a cold

Can you believe it!!! My son has a cold. At first I was like....SWINE FLU!!! But he doesn't have a fever or body aches, just plan old runny nose and cough. 5 adults will all be crammed in with him in the cabin!!! I think by the end of the trip we will all be sick. OH JOY!!!!

Every single time we have left for the Fort (4 in the past 2 yrs) at least one of our kids has been sick. Nasty stuff like stomach bugs. And every single trip has been awesome. We've pushed on, and even with a little down time the trips have been great. Don't let it worry you too much...just bring medicines to make him comfortable and I bet the cold goes away pretty quickly. Something about Disney to make a kid get better fast!

He is in good spirits so that is good. I just hope the airport doesn't flag us because he is coughing!!! Thankfully, no fever. I am on my way to get gum and decongestants for the flight.

Yes, I guess being sick at Disney is better then being home and bored!!!!

Everytime we go on vaca my kids get an ear infection. Somehow I can get there doc to right me a script when we are on vaca and send it to the pharmacy. As of now,my kids also have colds, and we leave in 28 days. Hopefully they wont have anything when we go. I noticed Claritin works well for just a runny nose and cough depending on how old and how much your child weighs.

Our last two camping trips to the Fort we've ended up at the Urgent Care for DS-earache, vomiting and fever. We bring a stocked medicine cabinet with us now.

I leave today!! I have suitcase full of stuff. He seems to be feeling better so it just may be allergies!!!!! He is in good spirits!!!! We have a rental car too so if we have to go to urgent care...it will be easy.

At least I am in good company!!! Your vacations went well, so should mine!!

We just back from the fort on Sunday. All 3 kids got sick when we were there. 103 fevers, coughing, sneezing. I actually ran out of medicine when we were there. The meadows trading post does sell childrens Tylenol and Motrin. The pool was the best thing to bring down the fever, that and a nap right after!! We still had a great time......just a a slower pace. We've been using those Zicam nose swabs at the first hint of anyone getting sick or being around someone who is sick. (Knock on wood) We haven't gotten sick since we started using them.

One of my boys (or me) is always sick when we go anywhere it seems- but of all the places we've gone, they didnt seem to mind being sick at Disney! I just stock up on the cold meds and tissues

This past trip I sprained my ankle the second day we were there- that was not fun at all- but it was better sitting on a chair at the campsite or cruisin on the golf cart than being stuck at home on the couch!
