The day was heatin' up. While some of us were trying to cool off in the fountain and giving our feet a break, Brandon was having a great time playing in Princess Dot's Puddle Pool.

"So Hopper...you say there's water that-a-way?"

Needing to cool off in a big way, we trekked back over to the other side of the park and rode Grizzly like 5 times in a row. Hint: Don't complain to the CM who is boarding you that you hardly got wet unless you really want to get hit big time. After getting it by both geysers, we saw this same CM up in the control booth with a big grin on his face. We gave him a big thumbs up though cause it felt so good in the heat.

As you can see, Brandon wasn't in to getting soaked this time. He wore the poncho everytime we rode.

That was all the pics I got for this day. We rode CA Screamin' & Soarin' 2 times each, rode Mullholland Madness, TOT & Monster's Inc. All the rides were walkons and we had a great time at DCA.

Up Next: Our Last Day

I noticed that someone in your party is using an evc.
In April I will be visiting DL with 3 great friends (High School friends, we will all be celebrating the big 50 this year:cheer2: ). Although I can walk some, I have medical reasons for needing to conserve energy. With that being said, I will be bringing my own EVC. I have tried to find reports of others who have used one, and their experience dealing with rides, shows and most important dining. Where do you park? And is it safe to leave stuff in the front basket while on a ride? Has anyone ever had their evc moved from where it was left? Why?
I just don't want to be a bother to my friends. So any info or advice is welcomed.:confused3

That's me in the EVC. I rented one every day I was at the Disney parks.

I would usually park the EVC where all the strollers were parked then walk through the lines to most of the rides. A couple of exceptions were Space Mountain & Big Thunder. SM is a special challenge....it's quite the hike, plus a lot of it is uphill. This was the first time that I had rode the EVC up to the loading area. It was wonderful to not be in pain when I boarded the ride. SM has a special set of cars that they use just for the handicapped. It's really quite facinating the way they have it set up.

I handled walking the line of Big Thunder pretty well as long as my family let me set the pace. However, I did use the EVC line once. You drive up the exit, and you end up on the opposite side of the tracks from everyone else. Then you just wait until the CM tells you to get on. While you're on the ride, they turn your EVC around for you and it's ready for you to take back down the exit.

By the way, your family, or friends, are allowed to go with you when using the handicapped route, which is usually the exit.

Any of the CMs will be more than happy to advise you on how to board the ride using your EVC. When we were staking out a spot to watch Fantasmic, I asked one of the CMs in the orange vests, who was controlling foot traffic, where to park. He was extremely helpful, making sure I knew the areas NOT to park and where I should park. In fact, all the CMs were terrific. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

The places where we ate usually had a handicap entrance, but then we didn't eat anyplace fancy other than the Plaza Inn. We ate outside there and I just parked the EVC next to the table.

As for leaving things in the basket. We left shoes, jackets, food...even some stuffed dolls that we had won at DCA, and didn't have a problem with theft. Just be sure you don't leave anything really valuable and you should be fine.

Hope I was of some help to you.

Thank you for the quick response and great information. I am still a little nervous, however, like you said - ask cm's.
