Day 4

DH 41
DD 8
Woke up at 8, went to the fitness center to pay for our cabana, #3, the only on left- would recommend it if you dont want any sun. Grabbed our luggage and checked it with the bell men( yourride wasnt going to pick us up until 4:45). We left our day bags at the cabana and headed back to IOA so DD could ride Pteranodon Flyers, there has always been a long line 60+ minute wait. The wait was 20 minutes and you didnt need to have a kid to ride. She thought it was way too short. DH agreed and they vowed never to ride it again. We rode the the flying unicorn, dueling dragons, Bob the talking fountain must have been on break, went on the suess rides and then had lunch at Confisco's. Very nice, but still like mythos better. DH headed back to the hotel. DD and I went into NBA and she played a few games. Next stop was the HR Cafe for souveneirs. Went to US through the small turnstyle between the HRC and Nick Studios, what a great shortcut. (Dont forget to get your hand stamped!!!!!
We bought a few more things and the Nice Girl at the souvenire shop at US offered to hold our bags for us. Thank God. We had about 5.
We wanted to go to the Make Up Show, but it wasnt for an hour, so we headed to King Kong, we saw the Blues Bros waiting for their cue, and we hit King Kong, told daughter she had time for 1 more ride and she chose Hanna Barbara over BTTF. Then it was the sad time to go back to the hotel.
We hoofed it back, and what a setup they had for the Birthday Bash Concert. Bars everywhere, Huge balloon people flapping in the wind, mini food sections everywhere.
The beach part of the pool area had a huge stage set up. They had massive video equipment, I dont know why they taped it, though.
At around 2 pm I realized that I never turned my watch ahead, in spite of the reminders the hotel left in the room. So it was really 3pm. The concert started around 4. It started out with Carrottop saying hi and a couple of jokes. 1st up was Pat Travers, then Larry Hoppen from Orleans, then Ronnie Hammond from Atlanta Rhythm Section, then Dave Jenkins from Pablo Cruise, then it was time for us to leave, SOB, I did not want to leave. We packed up our stuff and headed to the Lobby where our limo driver was waiting for us and off to MCO.
What a great weekend. If we had known earlier about the Birthday Bash we would have changed our ressies and stayed one more night. Well, there is always next year.
