Day 3-Sunday
DN bounces out of bed and cheerfully begins to wake the crew! Today is EE at MK. By 7:00am everyone is heading to the bus stop. Pan announces that maybe he should not have laughed so hard about the ziplock bags as his DW did not pack him any shirts.
We are lone rangers at the bus stop for @ 10 minutes. The crew is getting restless- DN are you sure the busses run this early? Are you sure MK has EE today? The 2 women join us at the bus stop and one says no AK has EE today.
Well at this point the DN is starting to hyperventilate. She stumbles over to the house phone and gets the operator. MK is the EE park today. WHEW!!!! The buses should start arriving in about 10 minutes.
10 minutes huh? Well Tink decides she will run to the room to grab something she forgot. DN is horrified. Tink smiles and assures everyone she can make it there and back in plenty of time.
Well- I think you all can guess what happens next..................
Yes. 1 minute later the MK bus pulls up. Pan runs around the corner yelling for Tink. The crew is in chaos, do we start collapsing the strollers and loading or not. Not! Pan comes back around the corner grumbling. We have to watch the bus pull away. Then before it is out of spiting distance Tink rounds the corner.
Pan has a fit. "I was yelling for you!" "Yes" says Tink "I heard the bus and I started back-why didn't you get on it." The DN's head is about to explode at this point. Pan hasn't finished his fit. "Why didn't you yell back that you were coming? We could have gotten on the bus?" Well I was coming back.
How long until the next bus DN? "I don't know", I say. "If we have to wait for that one again it could be 30 minutes or longer. I don't know how many are running." Tink wonders aloud if she should try to make it back to the room. "NO!!!" we all shout in unison.
12 minutes later another MK bus arrives and by the time we can see the MK gates all is forgiven.
DN, Grumpy and girls get in line to turn in Vouchers for AP's, then everyone lines up and away we go.
Buzz Lightyear is first. Grumpy gets high score (over 100,000). Then on to Space Mountain -lil'hook is too short for this one
Pan is very apprehensive about this. He has not ridden a roller coaster in many years and doesn't particularly like them. We convinced him- but he doesn't plan to ride Space Mountain again.
The time is 9:30 the plan says we head into Fantasyland to try and ride as much as possible before EE ends. Tink and Pan want to stop and let lil'hook ride the race cars, DN tries to talk them into returning after Fantasyland to no avail. 10:05 we head to Fantasyland.
We see Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee with no wait. Jas and Ariel whip out their homemade autograph books. DN is VERY proud of the girls work. This is a bound book of 4x6 index cards with a line across the center of each page for the autograph and the characters name printed small in the bottom left corner. The girls decorated the cards with colored pencils, drawing cute borders and sometimes pictures of the character or items that reminded them of the character. They also used stickers and pictures from magazines etc.. We cut out photos from previous trips of each of them with characters and pasted them in. For instance, when you open the book to Pooh's page you would see the line for him to sign with a cute decorated border around it and hunny pots drawn in the corners and the back of the page in front of Pooh's holds a picture of DD and Pooh from our last trip. Can you get a visual on this?
Ariel is miffed when she comes back. Both Dum and Dee signed their names on the same wrong page. We all laughed and told her that they aren't supposed to be too bright. She has to grin at this.
We ride Snow White, Dumbo, It's a small world, (Pooh is closed ) then we send Pan and Grumpy for Splash Mt. fast passes and head to Crystal Palace for a character breakfast with Pooh and friends.
lil'hook tells the hostess it is his birthday. (It's actually Sat ) She blows serpintine all over the table and lets the waitress know we have a b-day boy. He is thrilled. The buffet was really good. Pan raved about the french toast, none of the rest of us ever made it back to the buffet to try any. My only complaint was the cheesy hash browns- they were hard like the potatoes were not cooked long enough. But everything else was delicious.
Our table was in an odd position and for a while it looked like we were not going to get any character interaction at all, but Grumpy whispered to a CM and soon we had autographs and pictures of Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet. Pooh was in his own special place and when Ariel made her way over to him and he saw the picture of the two of them in her autograph book, he pointed to himself and pointed to her and then pointed to the picture of the two of them and kissed her on the head. It was soooo sweet. She was thrilled.
lil'hook gets a b-day cupcake and we sing to him.
Then we're off to Splash Mountain-with no wait. I mean no wait. It was unreal. Pan and Grumpy watch the babies while DN and Tink take the kids on SM. Then we switch. The kids thought it was great that they got to ride twice.
While we were waiting Tink bought Pan a couple of souvenir T-shirts.
We rode BTMRR and then headed back to CBR for a quick swim and nap.
4:00pm bus to MGM. TOT, R&R, Backlot tour. 8:15 we get in line at Rosie's for a bite to eat. After everyone is settled and munching away Grumpy begins stumbling around trying very uncomfortably to say something to DN. Finally DN realizes that she has a mutiny on her hands. They all want to go back to the room and skip Fantasmic.
It is 8:40, we will finish eating and can walk right across the street to the Fantasmic entrance for the show at 9:00pm. We don't have to arrive1-2 hours early and wait in line since attendance is down. We won't have to pay a fortune for a dinner package to guarantee a seat. What is wrong with these people, are they NUTS?? Come on for pete's sake, DN expected everyone to poop out after a few days in the parks but not after just one day!
Tink is the ring leader, so DN zeros in on her. "Can't we just come back and see Fantasmic on another night?" Tink says. DN explains in detail how ridiculous that is the mutiny dissipates. won. We walked right across the street and into the stadium and grabbed some seats. We all sat down and literally 30 seconds later the show started. It was great as always. They changed the ending where all the characters float around on the boats. Now they are all on the center stage. Anyway everyone really enjoyed the show, except Tink.
Back to CBR for a late swim and then to bed. EE tommorrow!!!
