Day 3----We decided to hang out by the pool this morning. We tried to get a donut and coffee from the little place next to the sunset grill, but they were so busy every morning that it wasnt worth the aggravation. Today we had chairs right down the steps from the Beach Bar. When our chairs were laid back, our heads were right near some speakers. We found out at 10 am they crank the music up a notch!!!! Pool was busy again. At noon we took showers and headed for IOA. There were large crowds waiting to buy tickets at 1:15 pm!!!! So be sure to get your tickets in advance. One woman was screaming at the ticket window, dont know the problem. Anyway got through security (another line) and then rented a locker for our wet ride clothes We went straight to the Hulk, outside line said 60 minutes, we waited about 15-20 with our HRH cards. They check your card twice, one to get in the Express Line and then again about halfway through to make sure there arent people cutting over. Next was the Doom Fearfall thing, I loved it, hadnt ever done it before, my sister freaked
.I would have loved to do it again!!! We then headed to Spiderman, it showed a 75 minute wait and we waited about 20 minutes, I love this ride, its the main reason I come!! Our next ride was Jurassic Park, I was the only one in our group that had ever ridden this one so it was nice to watch their expression when we got to the end!!!! Got wetter on this one than I ever had before
we stopped and got icees and that was a 20 minute wait then headed Dueling Dragons...I swear I wish they would light that place up better, I feel like a blind old lady trying to feel my way through the line, my daughter had to hold my hand and pull me through the whole way, my sister was pretty wary of riding this one, I loved it...she survived!!!
..now we went back to the lockers ($5 for all day!) and changed clothes and headed for the wet rides
we got on Ripsaw Falls
took about 15 minutes
.got totally drenched
my daughter somehow managed to bonk her head on the metal side of the car during the drop and didnt want to do any more rides for a while
.we went and changed back into dry clothes and headed for dinner at Mythos!!!!
We had made reservations but they werent crowded at all (6:30 pm) I ordered a Potions of the Gods(these are so cool) girls were impressed (at 17 thats hard to do!) I had Lobster and Corn Bisque (had to take a picture) this was great .then the shrimp and penne alfredo which was very good .sis had the chicken penne alfredo the girls did the typical hamburgers. We had a very nice waitress and had a window seat (had to ask) and Im glad we went. Now it was around 7:30 Ive never been in the park at dark and I like it better, plus I was in a pretty good mood after 2 Potions of the Gods .we decided to go on Spiderman, the line outside said 60 minutes .we walked on and I do mean right away! We walked in the start of the line and didnt stop moving our feet until we stepped into the pod!!!! It was a blast .everyone was clapping and really enjoying the rides .we turned around and rode it again right away. Then believe it or not we and our full stomachs did the Hulk again!!!! I couldnt believe I didnt puke!!!! We walked on to this ride too. The picture they took of us we just had to buy it was a riot. Evening is definitely a better time to go, the heat of the sun is gone and less people, we wandered through the shops and bought souvenirs and then hit the bakery to buy some items for breakfast in the morning. All in all it was a really great day!!!!
