Got up early, very chilly, cloudy, windy, but thankfully, no rain. hey, I'll take it! Had our french pastries on the way to Epcot, again parked close enough to walk in just as it opened.
Straight to fast track, got a fp for later and walked right on. First time we had done this, and it was fun! A little too real after the wreck yesterday, so we skipped doing it again. Headed to living seas, then univ of energy. I hate to say this, but energy was not my favorite thing. 45 min long, parts were good, but I won't be doing this again.
Got a great cup of coffee at a kiosk near energy, it was really good coffee.
shopped and walked around alittle till time to go into the world.
Got my ornaments from germany, shopped, and ate fish and chips at England. which were ok, but should have gotten a burger in America.
Checked with guest relations about leaving the car at the epcot lot and taking monorail to mk. MK closed at 11, so we figured we wouldn't be picking the car up till midnight, she said no problem so off we went.
Met sister and fiancee at the lockers to stuff gloves hats and another sweatshirt in and headed to frontierland
Got FP to thunder, rode splash(20 min wait) LOTS of people hear today, as crowded as I have ever seen in the summer. Could be MLK holiday or the builder convention, I don't know , but it was packed with 50 min waits not uncommon.
Rode thunder took pix, and headed to Pirates, 15 min wait, treehouse. headed to haunted mansion, fp not working.... got a funnel cake, and headed to space mountain, got fp for 8pm. rode carosel of progress, wedway then headed out to catch bus for AKL and Boma's
Got to boma's just in time for our ps at 6. Had a great server and a fantastic meal!! I loved everything I ate, but nothing tasted familiar! Went back 3 times for the soups! Dh still likes Ohana's better, but I think Boma's is my favorite. We had ordered a specialty cake to celebrate the engagement, so we skipped the desserts.
Headed back by bus to MK. our fp for space m.ad expired , the wait was 65 min, so we tried our fp, and they let us in. We literally ran all the way to the top. In and out in 10 min!! It was a blast! Did wedway again( mostly chatting) then it was time for spectromagic, which we skipped and walked right onto Haunted mansion, got out in time to see last half of spectro, got another funnel cake (yes, I don't know how we stuffed all this food in) and watched wishes on road side of liberty bell. It was fantastic again! but again, it was over haunted mansion. the clouds were so low, it was like looking through gauze. very different. forgot , we layered up at the locker
left there, waited for fantasyland to open, rode the carosel (sp) again and walked into Mickey's phil. left there, and walked down mainstreet in time turn our locker key in...and tthe parade was starting again!! We sat down on the steps of the train station, and watched it till near the end.
We said our goodbys, and headed on the monorail to epcot, walked to the car, no crowds, no hassle!!!!
