Day 3 Animal Kingdom, Spectromagic & WishesCast:

DD our princess Millie ..6, and turns 7 in WDW!
Still having a mare sleeping! Was awake at 3.30am today .solitary smokes on the landing and making trip notes in my diary . Plan for today is to hit AK early as its an EE day, leave the park early to come back and rest before going to MK for Spectro and Wishes! PHEW!..will we make it?!
Decided to have breakfast as room service today which turned into a habit for the rest of the holiday. Room Service was kindly provided by DH as he headed over to the foodcourt to get his early morning cuppa tea (I dont drink the stuff) .so he came back with croissants, doughnuts and Danishes SO healthy dontcha think?? LOL. Hmm, thats my atkins out of the window for the next few weeks then!! By the time hubby is back Millie is awake and watching the Disney Channel and happily makes headway into the doughnuts!
Quick showers and dressed ..took plenty of warm clothes today! And head over to the bus stop, Pal Mickey fastened onto Millies bag. Oh yes, also when I was whiling away the small hours of the morning I had read the instructions and apparently when he giggles and vibrates it means he has something useful to tell you about the park .DOH! Must remember that today!! Again the bus was pretty quiet and so was the entrance to AK! Looking good .still a tad chilly mind.
Almost as soon as we are in the park, Mickey starts giggling and vibrating telling Millie lots of info she is amazed!. We head straight for Its tough to be a bug .taking time to look at the tree of life amazing! Spend a good 20 mins looking at it whilst walking to the show virtually by ourselves! The show was good but I think we had been spoilt by seeing Philharmagic yesterday!
We then consult the map and head off to Kilimanjaro safaris, 10 min wait We all loved this and saw loads of animals!
Millie was VERY concerned about Baby Red did he get back OK?? I then had quite a long chat with Millie about poachers etc. She just couldnt understand why people would want to kill animals. I cannot stress how upset and concerned she was! *hug*
Mickey was full of useful info!! Millie told me all about the upside down tree. Walked around Pengali forest was lovely seeing the Gorillas.
Then it started .PIN TRADING!! ( Mille had been looking at them in MK yesterday and I mentioned to DH what it was all about he kinda mumbled so I left it. ) I went to the loo and when I came back DH had bought Millie the Princess starter kit we had gone halves with her. Millie had $15 a day for her holiday she had saved her £2 a week pocket money that her nanny gives her each week!....she traded one of her princess pins straight away and the CM also gave her another one as she was so cute!! Millie was so chuffed We then headed over towards Kali river rapids and the weather had warmed up. On the way we saw Baloo and King Louis More pictures Mille had a caricature done as hubby and I basked in the sun leisurely walk and we got spooked!!! LOL .the tree came to life ..really clever!!
Grabbed a healthy hotdog for lunch and then watched the bird show - that was amazing!
We then thought it wise to buy ponchos for Kali River rapids and the CM advised us to pack Mickey in a couple of plastic bags, which she gave us, as he doesnt like getting wet! How wet do you get I asked .depends she said ..one person always gets soaked,,,,hmmm.
Virtually a walk on - on the ride we get, Millie sat near me, Hubby across from me and another family of 4 ..great fun Guess who got drenched???.....yup, me, again!!! Queue more giggling from Millie I was even wearing a poncho and I was soaked all inside my clothes running down my back - the weather was warm but not that warm!!!! Lol. It was fun .I do appear to be a water magnet!!
We love this park very relaxing and lots to see Mickey has given us lots of pointers many things we may have missed if it wasnt for him like the dragon waterfall!!
We then decide to head over to Camp Mickey/Minnie to track Pluto down! We passed Lilo and Stitch en route YAY for Stitch, he is soooo silly
As we arrived we were just in time for Festival of the Lion King fab show I love the music in this Then off to see the Characters no Pluto We asked a CM if he was here today and she said he would be with Goofy @ 2pm .just 10 mins to wait so we kept our eyes peeled to see if we could spot his arrival .and there he was, sneaking in the back with Goofy. There was hardly a queue and the grin on Millies face was huge!! They spent ages messing around with here flapping their ears and being silly Millie found it hilarious that Goofy goofed around with her Minnie ears and put them on sideways!
Poor ol Goofy was jealous though as Mille was all for Pluto so in his jealousy he took Millies pen and bomped poor Pluto on the nose!!!! Pluto sulked in the corner, tending his wound and Millie rushed over to him and gave him the biggest hug ever!!! AWWWWW.
More silliness, photos & autographs taken. This was Millies highlight of the holiday she adores Pluto and kept referring to this part of the day throughout the whole holiday giggling and grinning as she recounted every moment theyre so silly mummy. One more photo with Safari Minnie.
Times ticking on now and we decide to catch Pochohontas (sp) and her forest friends we all loved this. She was so REAL!! She had us all fooled, well apart from Millie as she knows she is real! The animals were so cute loved the porcupine and raccoon for me this was a real unexpected treat and I actually preferred this over the Lion King.
On the way out I asked the CM if Pocohontas would sign Millies autograph book for her Ill see what I can do, shes normally over at Rafikis watch but shes not there today .. .a few minutes later she comes back ..autograph book all signed
Time to make a move now I real feel like we could do with a few more hours here we had hardly touched Asia and hadnt done any of Dinoland (I KNOW!!) .but we hadnt been here before so technically we dont know what we missed!
A great park a definite for our next holiday here!!!!!
Headed back home on the bus for an hour or so down time changed into warmer clothing and grabbed some dinner at the foodcourt. Jumped on the bus and we were at MK for 7.15 people were already staked out on the pavements for Spectro @ 8pm. We plonked ourselves about a 1/3 up Main street by the watch shop and just chilled.
Then the parade began and WOW amazing so beautiful .all together now on this magic night .
I took some pics but they didnt come out too well so caught the back end of the parade on video using my camera came out really well and we have watched it numerous times since we have been home. Right at the end Millie went mad!! Mummy, Mummy its Pluto ..as Pluto walked right by us in his flashing collar .putting his paw out to Millie
We milled about a bit and went further down to the end of main street in the middle waiting for Wishes Millie was pooped bless her *hug* .then it started A really heart warming spectacle - Millies face when she saw Tink! Again the pictures were not great so I took a wee bit more video on the camera from the Fantasia part of the show until the end. I am so glad I did capturing even the smallest of snippets on video brings it all back And yes, I cried ..our wishes had come true just being here .
Slow walk out of the park for home 10 minutes wait for the bus Millie zonked out and was fast asleep by the time we got back to POR.
Tomorrow - a rest day .hmmmmm

. So I didn't go on ANYTHING watery at Universal/Islands of adventure (DH and DS(11) did all 3 and got soaked
