We left Hilton Head SC about 8am. It was a great morning. The sun was shinning and it was starting to get warm. After a quick stop at McDonalds for some grub we get on I-95 and head to the sunshine state.
We arrived at ASMo at 1:30pm (keep this in mind). I pull up and motion for the luggage people to get the bags and help unload my scooter. They told me that they don't know if they are allowed to get the scooter out for me. So they are standing around and I finally get a little ticked and say. "Look you get that side and you get the other, when I say 3 pull the sccoter out and put the back wheels on the ground". So, they do it. Then the guy tells me. " Really, you are supposed to hand us your luggage and we put it on the cart for you". WHATEVER!!!!!!!
I go to check in and there is NO LINE. I pull up and give them my name and all the other stuff. He says my room is in Mighty Ducks. I say I don't think so, I requested Fantasia handicap room first floor. So after some time he gives me Fantasia 3rd floor. Ok I'll take it.
I had 2 days worth of hopper passes from our trip in January, and I wanted to add 2 days. He rang them up and said it is $126.00 per adult and $103.00 for the child for 2 days. This is where the problem starts. I tell him No Way. It only costs with tax around $51.00 per day to get in the parks for an adult ticket. he goes to get a supervisor. I explain it again to her. She says " The computer is only giving you a refund of $86.00 per adult ticket. Now I am not good at math, but this does not compute in my book. So, I ask to see the manager. She comes out and gives me a speil about I am paying extra for being able to park hop. I say fine I want my 2 days back, and I will pay to get into one single park on another day. So she hands me back 15, yes I said 15 keys to the Kingdom cards. By this time is is 3pm and I am starting to loose my religion. I tried to be patient and nice, but at this point I didn't care who saw the handicap man in the black scooter ready to pull these 3 people over the counter and run them over! I told them I want 1 key for charging prev., the room and park hopper. I finally gave in and told them I want the manager of the resort to call me in the morning.
We get to our room and find the iron and ironning borad threw on the floor just inside the door, no roll away bed, and no luggage. We wait another hour for our luggage, and do not get the roll away bed until 9pm, and it comes with no blankets. We get a blanket at 10:30.
This was not a good day! I am ready to pack up the truck and head back to Ohio in the morning!
It does get better so stay tunned.
