Sunday 25th: The Gang Hits Magic Kingdom
This was the 2nd time here for Myself, DH, & DS. This was Jess & Wayne's first time ever.
We arrived there around 10:30 a.m. the Tram from the parking lot and the monorail was like a scene from Wild Kingdom ( The wilderbeasts running like mad) ppl were absolutely rude and will run you down to get into the park. After getting into the park, DH suggests we skip the fast passes "big mistake"!! We did however get 2 passes for Splash Mtn & Space Mtn for later in the day. Terribly hot & humid this day, we decided to ride Big Thunder Mtn Railroad first , after waiting approx 40 minutes, we get to the loading part and DS suddenly chickens out...ugghhh...so off we go to sit while the others ride.
The lines weren't too terribly long for the other rides we rode later in the day, just the fact that it was soooo hot and we didn't have the fast passes, it just seemed we could have been able to do more in a shorter period of time, ohh well its over now LOL.
On to Splash Mtn.....Used the pass we had, and waited only 10 minutes, just a few minutes into the ride DS has another chicken attack....and wants to get off the ride...ummm...too late now and before you know it off we go down the hill and its over.
Time for lunch: We all go to Cosmic Rays and have the Cheeseburgers & fries..pricey but very good.
Time for a snack: We all head over to Aloha Isle in Adventureland
for the Pineapple floats...ohh I wish I could have another one now!!
Around 7:30 p.m. now....We have managed to ride most everything there, so now its time for Space Mtn since we had the passes for this. Myself, Jess, & Wayne ride since DS doesn't want to ride, DH takes him off for some sight seeing. I didnt get to ride this when we were there in 2003 so I was very anxious to ride this.....Was a total blast!! I love this ride.
We meet DH & DS after this, DS wants to eat at Plaza Pavilion, so we all have the Pizza there, wasnt as good as last year, but when you're hungry I guess anything tastes good.
Off to Mickeys Philharmagic now...This was really cute, but unfortunately while we were seeing this show...we missed the fireworks
Overall had a great time there, and as you all know it every vacation has some sort of mishap....guess what mine was?
I sit in chewing gum....ugghhh....so Jess was kind enough to assist me in the restroom while everyone was looking, while she picked gum off of my shorts!! Yes it came off and the cleaning lady in the restroom was kind enough to take a picture of this crazy moment for our scrapbook. Hey gotta make the most of any bad situation.
Off we head to the hotel for some shut eye. Universal Studios is coming up next.
