princess: Ahhhh, breakfast at the castle with Cinderella and the princesses. Was this going to be great, or what? Or what.
We stayed off-site and had been at the MK the day before, so we knew how long it should take to get to MK from the house we rented. Well the kids were moving like snails, the traffic moved even slower and for some reason there were tons of people there that morning!
We finally arrived at MK and galloped down main street to the castle for breakfast. Our waiter was very accomodating and brought us cereal for the kids, french toast for our son who didn't like the other food, etc. I must say that I have had better breakfast at Denny's than we had at the castle, but the atmosphere sort of made up for the lack of enthusiasm that the food had. The one thing he did that I didn't like at all, is when he brought the bill - after dh had given him the credit card, he read the amounts very loudly back to him - "$$$ was for the food, $$$ for the tax, $$$ for the tip" and then he says "was everything okay at this table"....I told dh later I didn't think the waiter appreciated his tip very much. :confused3
We saw the princesses right away when we came in, but they weren't by our table yet. When they did make their way around, some of them didn't act like they liked their job very much. Mary Poppins and Sleeping Beauty were the best. They talked to my dd and to my other children and then posed for a picture. Cinderalla was okay, but she was behind a chair sort of in the picture...I would think after all that practice she'd know where to stand! Belle was just okay - why doesn't she wear her fancy dress? What's up with the work dress at the castle?
Another complaint - sorry - this time it was about some people in the restaurant. They totally hogged the princesses when they came to their table - which I think may have been why they sort of "drove through" at our table. The lady was taking pictures of the princesses alone, pictures of them with her daughter, pictures of them with her....and she was not quiet about ordering them where she wanted them to stand, etc....too nervy for me.
All together, I don't think I would do it again. I think the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh was much better (we did this 7 years ago, so I'm not sure if it's the same). princess:
