Sunday 29th July 2003 - Are We There Yet?!
The morning arrives. The bags are packed, we've had breakfast and that all important, quintessential cup of tea (well, maybe not, we're not that stereotypical you know
) and my parents and brother arrive in the taxi. So, let's go already!!!
Before the taxi drives off there is that important final check - 'Have you got your passports?' Thank goodness for Mums LOL! Neither DBF nor I had picked ours off up the dresser! Disaster averted (narrowly) but will we ever live this down?!
Our almost eight hour flight from Manchester, UK to Philadelphia, PA is pretty uneventful. Watching 'Treasure Planet' and playing a 'heated' game of Travel Scrabble help pass the time!
Although we spend the next two and a half hours in PA we obviously (and sadly) get to see nothing more exciting than some plastic grey seats!
Finally we are back on our way to Florida, on a smaller plane this time and also for a much shorter time - a further two and a half hours later we are there! Let's grab the luggage and go find that villa is pretty much the feeling but... that's not as simple as you might think!
Three pieces of luggage are what you might call "lagging a little behind" or more precisely, are still in PA! Thankfully, two of the missing pieces are more non-essential items such as beach towels. The other piece is my brother's luggage! The airline promises they will be on the next flight and delivered first thing the next day so with this reassurance we are finally off to the villa!
The villa itself is beautiful. Very clean and very roomy and the pool looked very inviting.... take a look for yourselves:

For those of you worrying, the airline kept their word, the luggage was delivered first thing the next morning - at 5am LOL!!
