I took the photos of our room on Day 4, so please pardon the clutter. I guess I was too excited to think about taking pictures...All I could think about was heading over to the park.
The Queen Mini-suites have 2 Queen Beds & a fold-out Queen couch
The TV sits on a shelf that slides out and swivels...not many channels to choose from. Renting a movie is $12.00!
The fridge is a nice size & the microwave was nice to have.
Oh look...Pepsi! A must have for our family
Full-sized closet with some hangers, but if you plan on hanging up a lot of your clothes, I would suggest bringing some extras from home. Iron & Board are in the closet.
I'm almost embarrased to post this photo cause' it's such a mess, but I know that I like to see the sink & counter area of the hotel where I plan on staying so I thought others might like to see it too. The counter is spacious with plenty of room for your toiletries. There's also a hairdryer on the wall. I would have preferred another sink in the bathroom, but this worked out ok for us. Had to take turns in the bathroom changing clothes, but we dealt with it.
The bathroom was very clean. Shower pressure was ok...not as good as home, but ok.
The pool was small, but the kids enjoyed it. The Hot Tub was being refurbished most of the time we were there, but Shelli's family used it the first couple of nights and said that it felt "wonderful".
There was a pop & ice machine on the 3rd floor, but the ice machine was broke. ($1.50 for a bottle of pop) The pop machine ran out of Pepsi the first night we were there. We wouldn't be going to the store until we rented the van on Sunday, so we made a 911 call to the front desk to let them know that we just had to have our Pepsi fix...especially since we knew that DL only sells Coke at their parks.
We were happy to find the Pepsi compartment full the very next morning.
The elevator was down at the other end of the building from our rooms, but it sure was nice to have at the end of the day. Climbing 3 flights of stairs at the end of a long day would have been murder on this Grandma's body.
The free Continental Breakfast, which was served at Captain Kid's next door, was better than some hotels I've stayed at. Oatmeal, cold cereals, toast, jam, boiled eggs, apples, danish, donuts, bagels & cream cheese, apple & orange juice & milk. Mostly carbs, so I didn't eat there much, but Shelli's family made good use of it.
All in all, we really enjoyed staying at the BWPPI. The people at the front desk were helpful, courteous and prompt at answering our needs. Housekeeping was excellent and we loved being right at the crosswalk to DL.
Well...Life is calling me..gotta go grocery shopping, so I think this is where I'll end this post. Stay tuned...Next up...DL!
Will be continued on Day 1 & 2 (Pt. 3)
