Did you see this one yet? It's pretty good. I watched it this afternoon.

But it's VERY sad. I still feel kind of blue after watching it.

and I always always cry when I watch it.......so sad for a mom to let a child get abused but still goes to the man ......I have no clue why I always watch this little girl act so unbelievably convinceable ..

Pumba, wrong movie. Dawn Anna just premiered on Life Time Monday night. :D

Anyway, I did watch it yesterday, it is a very good movie. I hadn't planned on it, didn't look like my kind of movie, but after hearing other talk about it on this board and that she had also lost a daughter in the Columbine shooting on top of her battle with cancer, I decided to watch it. Anything that has to do with losing a child, I am right there, since I have lost two myself.

I watched that one too. I think the name was "******* Out of Carolina". Made me cry to think a mother could do that. I must have been on some depressive streak this afternoon - because those were two sad movies.

I thought the little girl in the Carolina movie was so sweet.

It was a great movie.....I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Debra Winger but it was just so depressing! I hate to watch movies about losing children.....it just leaves me blue for the whole day.

OMG! That movie REALLY disturbed me....I don't know who the blonde guy was that played the step-dad but I ALWAYS turn the channel when I see him in a movie now. I know that it silly but he played that part so well, that I always "see" him in that part. That was a very disturbing movie.

I watched it Saturday night, and I'm still thinking about it. What a sad movie and what a strong mother/loving family...

Although it was very sad, it also was very encouraging that one person could have such strength and that there are still some really good men out there! Debra Winger was great. Would love to know what the other kids are doing now.

I thought the same thing about the guy. How great was he? Coming in at such a crazy time and sticking it out like that? If they were all like that, women in this world would be set. :flower1:

I can't believe I just saw this thread. I watched it today and cried like a baby! I was going to post the exact same question but got busy with DD.

It was a great movie and nobody but Debra Winger could have done it as well.

I was only able to catch some of it but what I did I cried for an hour afterwards. And stupid me never even put 2 and 2 together until I saw the High School sign and realized what was about to happen.

Then I hugged my son so much he told me to stop.. He hates when I watch the Life Time for Women Channel... hahahaha.... :grouphug:

I watched that last night and cried my eyes out, i woke up with huge puffy eyelids! Lots of makeup needed! It was really good, the Epstein Bar was bad enough, then Columbine, like a double Lifetime movie!

I cried my eyes out too, but thought it was a good movie.

Oh man I cried my eyes out Monday. I think that is the day I watched most of it, then I caught the very beginning Fri or Sat. It was really well done but, but as usual for a lifetime movie, very depressing.

What a sad movie. I cried so much! I knew what was coming from reading the description, but it really didn't prepare me.

I agree, Debra Winger was wonderful in the movie. And the real Dawn Anna is one strong woman.

Great Movie. I watched it last Monday night and just cried. We have season tickets to the University of Colorado Basketball games. Her son Josh played for CU right after Columbine so she would come to all of the games. She is a great person with a great family. It was odd to watch the movie knowing I have seen the real person many times.

I saw this advertised on :ifetimes, but I didn't see it. I hope that it's on again! :D

I just watched this movie tonight. I remembered this thread- everyone liked it. All I can say is, that was a real tear jerker. Great movie!! If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

Exactly what I thought the first time I saw it (the night it premiered). Just watched it again tonight and cried all over again. Excellent scheduling on the part of Lifetime to have some comedies after a movie like that one; kinda cleanses the mental palate, so to speak.

I watched it tonight for the second time. I Love this movie. It really show you how fast your life can change. I was actually looking for real photos of Dawn Anna and her daughter Laura Townsend. She was very pretty. Dawn is a very strong woman. I feel for her and her family.
