Dawa Bar - Animal Kingdom

I've asked this question before on other threads - haven't gotten an answer. Now that Tusker House has been converted to a TS restaurant, I'll assume they have a bar menu. Does that mean the Dawa Bar that was outside Tusker House is no longer open? (hoping it still is - was my favorite place to relax - and enjoy a cocktail or two before the parade!)

i doubt they will close it. it's been open the whole time the construction's been going on, it would be a shame to see it go. i really like sitting and relaxing there with a coctail made by bryan. i wouldn't worry about it closing, i mean, other parks have restaurants w/alcohol and also have bars. jmho

Wouldn't say I was "worried" about it closing - would just like to know if it's still open. We always enjoyed ending our day there - adults would enjoy a cocktail; kids would enjoy the dance troupe; and we would all wait for the parade to start. Just wondering if I need to find a new place to watch the parade!

Dawa was open last week. I haven't read anything about it's closing so I assume it will stay open

I also like grabbing a drink at the Dawa Bar and watching the Tam Tams! very entertaining the way they include the crowd!
Only problem this Nov is Im only planning 2 morns at AK and will need to leave by 1230 - oh well its vacation!

what time does the Dawa bar open?

I would have to imagine it opens at 11am - don't most bars in WDW open then also?

The Dawa Bar was open 3 weeks ago when we were there. I asked the bartender what was going to happen to the bar when the Tusker reopens. He said that to his knowledge, there would be no changes. They use the Dawa Bar area for so many things, it would make sense to stay open.
