David's vacation Club rentals

I apologize if this has been asked before. I tried to search but got an error. Thinking of renting points from David's. What experience have others had? Good and bad... thanks!

Can I rent points to be transferred into my account so I can make one ress?

I don't think the points can be transferred to your account. I was a bit unclear how the service worked. My guess was that renters transferred points to David then he rented them directly from his account (although I seem to remember there is a limit on the number of point transfers per account per year so I don't even think that would be do-able). In reality, they have the renter make the reservation for you using their points (in their account) but no point transfer is involved. I wish it were because then I could control the points, which I much prefer.
