Davids dvc rental not having enough points?

I am trying to rent points for **** for **** nights. David's does not have enough points for this reservation and stated hopefully more will free up at 7 month mark. Currently waiting in a que. Has this happened to anyone. Did you have luck at 7 month mark or were the studios sold out? Please help. Getting frustrated!

The issue is that you are looking to book a villa more than 7 months out. Right now, the only points David can use to book that villa are owners at ****, so their pool of possible renters for your vacation is smaller. Once you are 7 months out, they can use any DVC points to get you your reservation if there is availability. David pays $10 per point to DVC owners for points but many DVC owners consider their advanced booking window(7+ to 11 months) to be worth more than that. It wouldn't be unusual for a **** owner to charge you $13 per point for their advanced booking privilege. Your option is to rent directly from a **** owner now or continue your search with David's while he finds an owner for you. Once the 7 month window opens, any points can be used to book the villa if it is available. HTH.

We recently had trouble securing points via David's. They are terrific, and we used them last year. There just weren't any available for a studio when we wanted to go in the fall. I was too worried that they would all be sold out at the 7 month window, so we opted to rent directly from an owner via the rent/trade board, and now we're all set.

I recently had this issue. Points ended up coming through within 2 weeks of my request..although I did not get my first choice location (I could have waited to see if anyone cancelled..but opted for my 2nd choice).

I'm not saying points will open that quickly...just sharing my experience. I am pleased with the service thus far. Good luck with your search.

I just recently used Davids to rent out my points. I received $11 per point for BWV and all my points were rented within a few days. Not much work on my part.
OP I would hang in there because from my experience with Davids I can at least guarantee they are trying hard to fill your request.

We didn't have to wait for the 7 month mark, luckily. But others on the waiting list did. It's just a gamble to see if someone with enough points ask David's to find a renter.

We have just gotten to the 7 month mark and when checking the online system, it shows that no studios are available for two of our four dates. I am so glad we went with Davids.

Recently tried to make two reservations with them. One I had to wait 2 days for points, everything went through smoothly and am very pleased with the process. I waited 2 weeks in the queue for the other reservation and nothing came up. I got nervous and wanted to make 100% sure I could get the room and resort that I wanted so I actually booked rack rate through Disney. I'll continue looking for points in the meantime but I have a backup if I can't find anything or if there's no availability at 7 months. Hope this helps!

We have rented out our points at OKW and AKL through David's and I can't say enough good things about them! They are extremely helpful and easy to work with and we are 150% pleased with them!

We knew that we wouldn't be able to use our points and using David's was painless and easy and lots easier than trying to do this on our own and worry about getting paid for the points! Would recommend them in a heartbeat.

We just secured our dates today! We did get our 1st choice! The folks at Davids are wonderful. They answer every question and are very helpful! My DH is able to extend his vacation so we are now in the process of adding 4 more nights at another resort.

We waited 4 days. It was well worth the wait!
