Dave, if you ever publish a "NOISIEST ROOM LIST" please put #2633 at the very top!
My advice to anyone with that room, who does not live on top of an active volcano and enjoy it -- change rooms!!! Noises were CONSTANT and from all directions! Vibrations from below so bad at times (when coming into port at about 5AM) that every light fixture in the room rattled and shook, as well as the bed. Noises came from many sources and all directions, when one source was not producing noise, another was, continually day and night but worse during the night (below me, above me, beside me...). On the 3rd night of the cruise, there was loud music from below (staff area) along with cheering which began around 1:30 am, which was when I headed out of my room to go to another stateroom that I was given to sleep in.
Guest services provided me with another stateroom on deck 7 to use for sleeping (I was with 2 other parties in adjoining rooms on deck 2). Both thumbs, all fingers and toes down for room #2633.
I had inquired about upgrading at the terminal prior to sailing and was told by the Supervisor that there were no rooms available, it was a full cruise. On the 3rd night of the cruise I couldn't take it any longer and went to Guest Services to lodge a formal complaint (thinking that there were no other rooms available as per terminal conversation with staff). Was given another room to sleep in. Wished like heck that I had not been told at the terminal that the cruise was full as I would have approached guest services before the first night was through. My friends wanted to video my stateroom for a few hours during the night because they couldn't believe the noise in there. To Anyone who experiences the noise and lack of sleep (and exhaustion) that I did -- go to Guest Services IMMEDIATELY and seek resolution, they were very empathetic and accommodating.
A letter will be in the mail to DCL concerning #2633 from me, the lack of sleep really did exhaust me (especially after 4 nights at WDW) and it certainly did put a damper on my cruise, unfortunately. I was too tired to take excersions or attend some activities with friends. With the exception of that, the cruise was wonderful.
FYI: As for my friends rooms, #2635 and #2637, they could tollerate the noise they experienced the first 2 nights, but the music on the 3rd night distrubed them along with some other noises and on the 4th night, the noise was as severe as that in that in my room, so they did not sleep at all on the 4th night of the cruise.
