OK, I 'm a DISaholic but I go to Dave's site too but his site doesn't seem to be online anymore. Does anyone know if this is temporary or permanent?

I even lost my wallpaper of the Magic that I got from his site. Now all I'm looking at is a faint image. What happened?I need to look at "MY" ship. Ok I"m addicted too!

Sorry 'bout that. The bill for the site hosting services came up and I can't really afford to pay it right now (although it's a not-for-profit web site, I'd been out of pocket for the hosting fees). Maybe soon.

Dave, I don't know if your email is working since I think the address was linked to your site. Email Tony at atigeg@att.net or me at disneycruise@yahoo.com
We have some available space via our hosting service and you are welcome to share. I'd hate to see your great info. be unavailable. I'm constantly referring people to your site.

::::Hyperventilating:::::

0h God! :confused:

Any guesstamite as to when we can see that glorios site again?!

::::sobbing:::::

I don't know if I can make it through......:(

I registered my domain name for 10 years at a discount site and then transferred the name to a "free hosting" site - Doteasy.com. It cost about $35 to transfer but hasn't cost me anything since. Even if you re-subscribe to your domain name at Doteasy.com I think it is only about $35 a year total. Email me if you would like more info about this - the hosting is fairly basic but it would probably suit your purposes. (please note I don't get anything for this reference - it is just the site I use)

BTW - I think I used your site when I prepped for our first Disney Cruise to do the car rental instead of shuttles... If that was you, thanks!

If you need space I have plenty: not that I know how to cover up my site name but you are more than welcome to all that I can give you; PM or E-mail me and I'll tell you what I have and what I know I "can" do on my side, I have well over 100 megs on a paid site just don't know if we can cover up the actual name in a redirect.
Have you tryed godaddy? I have a over 500meg site with unlimited bandwidth at less than $10 a month, no adds, great support etc.
my site that I have space on is a ?/rock band site but if you need space and know more tech. stuff than I do I have PLENTY of bandwidth to offer! I love your site and hate to see it go
(A tip with bandwidth,to everyone that uses a picture or anything off his site; ask for permision, and copy things to your hard drive if you use such as wallpapers!, not to be a know it all {I know about 2 weeks of reading when it comes down to web building, but I know alot of $ can go into bandwidth and thats all those pics being called on alot)
hope I didn't offend any one just the 1st post I read! (and I'm talkitive tonight:teeth:and I'm in that tropical change your attitude/latitude mode :wave:
How 'bout that M-88 (my tank when I was in the service:) :) )

Hey Empire Day,
Which burb are you in? We're the south burbs and are waiting anxiously for the warm-up. Hard to believe we went from 70s to snow within one week!

thats what happened to me yesterday - after coworker took the wallpaper off my computer (among other things) I tried putting it all back on - and now I have no wallpaper - oh Dave please come back soon - I cant be at work looking at an empty screen !

Go Daddy is where I registered my domain name for 10 years - it was $70 or so. The transfer to Doteasy was $35, and there is $0 ongoing cost for the next 10 years. That works out to about $10 per year, pre-paid.

I just tried Dave's site and it is up and running again!!!

Hmmmm... that's interesting. I haven't paid the bill yet. I wonder why the site's up today. Email's definitely NOT working. Well, the domain name itself is paid up through 2006.

Bronco Joe and Empire Day, do the hosting providers you mentioned have any banner ads or anything like that? I really don't like not having control over the content, and that includes banner ads in exchange for discounted hosting services.

TIA

- Dave

Dot Easy doesn't have any banner ads or anything. I was working for a friend of mine who was running for a state senate seat and we actually had his website for his campaign hosted there. Can't have a political candidate site with banner ads - you never know what might pop up...:eek:

Check Doteasy's site (Doteasy) - they tell you all the items they offer. You might want to re-up the domain a few more years at a cheaper site (like Go Daddy) and then transfer to Dot Easy or another free hosting website. The transfer is $35. Even if you don't do this, Doteasy's $18 to $25 per year to pay for the domain and to have free hosting is pretty good.

Go-daddy host with no adds/ or pop ups but isn't free, that dotez sounds good as a free site! there are many out there w/ no adds for free or less than 5$ a month, but you have to watch out for those pop up servers on alot of them.

inkkognito : far west Batavia, the 70's to snow

:mad: :mad: and I have to be out in it working! But today was beautiful, and it's looking good for the weekend!!!
my big warm up will be in 27 Days YIPPIE:bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

It is up and running!! thats cool maybe someone sent a little pixi-dust over to the host!:D
