Hello I am hoping to get some ideas of things we can do for my daughter on her 5th bday while we are there. Her favorite character is Cinderella, but I know how hard it is to get the breakfast reservations with her. If I cannot get them, does anybody have any other ideas that would make the day extra special?

We are celebrating dd's b-day at 1900 Park Faire, which has Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother, Suzy & Perla. We are also ordering a cake to have delivered to the table with Cinderella on it. I know we will be full from dinner, but I want to make this extra special for her. Also, you could take her to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and have her hair and makeup done before dinner at 1900.

I agree with the suggestion on 1900 Park Fare. From everything I've read the food is better than the castle. Besides at the castle Cinderella stays in the lobby. We're going to the Park Fare for the first time in September. We're celebrating my dd's 4th birthday. She decided to spend her birthday dinner with Pooh! He's an old favorite.

I agree with the other posts about 1900 at the GF. We went there last year for my four year old daughter. She was in heaven. Cinderella didn't spend a whole lot of time at the table, (maybe only a minute or two) but it was still wonderful for my daughter. All the characters come through, mice, prince charming, and even the fairy godmother. We also ate at the castle. There (in the lobby) she got to sit on Cinderella's lap and chat with her more then. Good Luck!!

I have to agree..1900 Park Fare is better than the castle..lots of good food and good character interaction!
Also make sure you get her a birthday pin from one of the parks, and tell them at the front desk that it's her b-day (when you check in) and have them send a card to her..we did it and my dd was sooo excited!

Thank you for the suggestions, it sounds like 1900 Park Fare is better then Cinderella's Royal Table. I will go with that instead of trying to pull my hair out for a reservation. One question though, you said that she got to sit on her lap in the lobby. Is she always there, or do you have to make a reservation?

We were there with dinner reservations on a Wednesday evening. So I am not sure if she is always there or if it something that is scheduled. When you are making your reservations with Disney you may want to ask them. Good Luck and enjoy it. It will be a wonderful experience for you and your daughter. :)

We will thanks! Do you know where the best place to meet the other princesses are? I know Ariel is in the Grotto, and that that is the only place to see her, but do the other princess walk aroung the parks?

when we were in disney in Nov for mine and my dd(10) birthdays we had gone to a few places to dine with princesses, Our first night we did the princess dinner at norway on her actual birthday and all the princesses signed her book Happy birthday Sydney! We also met Ariel there in her beautiful dress.
On my actual birthday we ate dinner at 1900 park faire, and had mentioned it was my birthday, but my dd`s 2 days b4 and they gave us both the royal birthday extras and Cindy herself was there to sing happy birthday to us both!
And the day we ate in the castle they overheard us saying it was our birthday week and got the same treatment...............my husband made fun of us all week, that our birthdays lasted 8 days! longest birthday in history! ha ha........make sure to get a birthday pin from each park, we got to ride soarin 3 times in a row on 1 fp bc the cm noticed my daughter had hers on! It was our first time and a great start to the best birthday trip ever!!!

Now that you mention it, we didn't see any of the other princesses except for shows. Where is the Grotto?

I was reading in the Disney Travel guide, that somewhere close to Cindy's castle, there is a place called Ariels Grotto, they say that is the only place to see her. You can get pictures and an autograph, but they warned the lines will be really long.

The grotto is in the back behind the carousel and dumbo ride. If you get there first thing in the morning your wait will be less. The only other place to see her is Norway dining.

In toontown, there is a spot to see some princesses for pics and autographs. We saw Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora in Dec. 2004. I know Jasmine can sometimes be seen by the Alladin ride and in Morroco.

Thanks for the tip, Ariel is one of my daughters favorites. Is it easy to get pictures with the princesses you see walking around?
