Our daughter will celebrate her 10th Birthday when we go to Universal. Any advice on the best restaurant for that? Also any other tips for birthdays at Universal? Thanks!
Be sure to get her a birthday pin at Guest Services, just like at disney, she'll get birthday wishes from TONS of people, and may get a free dessert from some places. For in the parks, we love Mythos in IOA and Finnegans in USF. For citiwalk, we find Margaritaville to be consistently good, also like Nascar Grill. We keep meaning to go to Bubba Gumps, but still haven't done it. We found Hard Rock Cafe to be too loud for us, though the food was good.
My grand daughter has her birthday while we were there afew months ago. One thing to do is to go to guest services as soon as you enter the parks and get her the birthday button to wear. Every park worker will make her feel special...they all say happy birthday and some make a special project of it. It made her smile all day. Margaretville had a special free dessert for the birthday girl and if they are not too busy will gather around and sing happy birthday. Just make sure you tell them when you check in that it's her birthday. One really special treat is the conductor at the train as you enter IOA. If he knows she is a birthday girl he will sing a special song for her while you take pictures or videos. It was one of our favorite memories.
We frequently visit during my sons birthday, it's a good time for us to travel, and he loves it! He likes Mama Della's at the Portofino. The food is very good and the staff very warm and welcoming.
