Daughter has sun/heat allergy

I find them in the bandaid/first aid section of Target. About $1.15 each. They are, I believe, a Johnson and Johnson product--I can almost see the blue writing--square box, one per box.

Gac has helped us considerably. My daughter has many medical problems including allergies to the sun and heat. One thing about a GAC is it helps you do the parks alot quicker then waiting in lines avoiding the sunniest parts of the day.
We always used the fast past entrance or an exit. CM's have always been very helpful.

don8life, did you have any difficulty getting the GAC for your daughter? Any tips on exactly what I should say?

I know I know--I post this tip every time heat issues come up----disposable ice packs. You squeeze to activiate and instant cold.

okay when I have a sun reaction it is my entire body at one time.... my whole body feels hot and then I break out...

so where do you put this thing?

of course, I am a coward I leave the parks when I feel myself getting hot....

at least sun screen help some....

I am going to six flags next week in california and it is really hot there (100's) and I am on a medication called topamax and if I get too hot I just pass out. What I have to do is not go until 6 PM. I would never attempt to even try to go when it is hotest part of the day. The only reason I am going during the summer this year is it is up for sale and may no longer be there after this summer or I would wait until it was cooler.

I have been to WDW in Jan Twice. It was freezing cold. I was in heaven!

We usually go for the neck, sometimes the chest or top of head under a ball cap/hat. We are going more for the cooling than the rash--once the rash comes out it's usually too late and only quality indoor time helps.

Please don't think I'm being disrespectful, but why are you taking a child with a heat/sun allergy to FL in the summer? Why not go during winter or even spring break if you are waiting for a school holiday?

Being in Orlando in August is like being locked into a sauna from about 8AM to 7PM. It is incredibly hot and very humid. Even with a GAC that lets you consistently use the FP line, there is walking to the bus stop, waiting at the bus stop, walking from the bus stop to the park entrance, waiting to get through security and the ticket gates, and walking to the attractions. If you're bringing a car, there's waiting for a tram, walking to the tram, etc, as well. It's just sooooo hot at that time of year, I think your daughter will be miserable given her condition!
