Daughter/Friends trip at Kidani

My daughter and four of her college friends are staying on our points at Kidani for a college reunion. The room is in my daughters name.

Some questions for clarification:

*Do we need to give member services the names and addresses of everyone in the room?
*Each guest will need their own MDE account- right?
*Then they can add all the names to one MDE Friends & Family for the purpose of one person making fast passes?
* Will each girl order their own magic band or will my daughter do that since the reservation is in her name?
* can they each access Disney Express through their own MDE account.

You can enter everyone’s address if you want. I tend not to when my daughter and friends stay on my points.

They don’t have to have their own MDE account, but then your daughter would be the one adding everyone’s tickets, and doing the plans. if they don’t have own accounts, they can’t view plans either.

So, it would probably be a good idea for them to create one, all become friends, and once your daughter links the reservation, they will see it.

The magic bands get ordered all at once and sent to the lead guest, or one can choose not to have them shipped so they are waiting at the resort, Since the reservation is in your daughters name, she should like to her MDE account, and get the magic bands ordered for the entire group.

You don’t order a DME through your account. You can set it up for everyone through your DVC account, or they can call or send in their own request directly.

I am lazy! LOL. Since it hasn’t really mattered, then I just leave it as my daughters. For email and phone, I just leave it blank since my daughter is lead guest and will be main contact

Did they change something? I thought only the member could call and set up DME? OP, is your daughter listed an an associate member on your account? If so, she can call and set up DME, but otherwise, I believe you would have to do it.

OP...have your daughter enter everyone's address, and the magic bands will be mailed directly to them. Your daughter won't have to be responsible for them, and her friends will get to experience the excitement that comes with getting that box in the mail! Everyone should have their own MDE account and link as friends/family. They are all adults, one person should not be in control of everyone's plans.

Receiving of Magic Bands: If the hotel resie is listed in the daughter's account, and all of the friends are managed by the daughter, then everyone will get a free Magic Band because they are listed on the hotel resie. How would that work if each friend has their own My Disney Experience account and are not listed on daughter's resie? Would they still each receive a free Magic Band? If friends had Magic Bands from previous trips, they could use those Magic Bands for entering the parks, fastpass and Photopass -- but what about unlocking the door to the room?

Magic bands, even when I have entered different addresses, were always mailed to me as lead guests.

Thats why I stopped worrying. When my DD visits with her friends, we don’t have the bands shipped and they pick up at front desk.

A reservation can only be linked and managed by one guest. Once the DD links to her MDE, she is the only one in charge of it. If friends and family have own MDE and are connected, then they can view plans, etc.

The magic bands will work for photopass, etc too, as long the person is in the DD account as a friend, even if they don’t have their own.
