Yesterday was the re-entry day, I was physically sick over it but outwardly at least my daughter was calm:confused3

My husband took her in the morning for a brief meet with the HS guidance, and then she was off to classes. As it worked out, yesterday was the first snow fall here and people freaked out!! It wasn't even an inch, and the accidents and mayhem:scared1: So the counselor was stuck behind an incident on 75, and was late. BUT all then went well: I picked her up after school, she then went to her regular counsulor for a session and she took it all in stride. No outburst, no drama, just getting it all done. The daughter I know, not the emotionally all over the map daughter.

Plus, the homework got done with no prodding or whinning.

This all is a blessing and I wanted to share the good news. Hopefully we can get to Christmas break, and then finish this grade, with no more major difficulties.

All of you have been a support system that is hard to explain, how can people you have never met hold you up and listen? Just a wonderful reality in the unreality of the internet:lovestruc

Thank you

Kathleen

Good to hear! :)
Here's to more of the same ... for both of you. :thumbsup2

I just went back and read your threads. I hope everything continues on the best track for you and your family.

I really am glad to hear your daughter is doing better...I know I am grateful for all the days my girls are happy and I grieve ever single day they are not.

As for this online community: I have "met" the most wonderful people...people I truly love and care about. People who have shown great generousity, people I look forward to meeting and people I have met and look forward to meeting with again.

They have celebrated with me, comforted me, laughed with (and at) me....

(you know who you are.....)

It's a great, great crowd.

This is such wonderful news. I honestly believe that with your support and unconditional love, your daughter will come through the rough spots in her life, with continued success. ::yes:: You are one incredible Mom, and that's what she needs!

Take care now and please, please don't forget (or disregard the importance of) to take some time for yourself. Do something that works to re-energize, or relax, or otherwise just be kind to yourself. The best Moms always forget that part.

Kathleen, so glad things went smooth. Wishing you all MUCH peace in your home and healing for your family.

Chris

Kathleen,

That is wonderful news. Your daughter has a lot of guts & poise and that should help her to get through all this. I hope your family has a peaceful and relaxing holiday season.

I'm very happy for you, your daughter, and the rest of your family Kathleen. I'm glad that your daughter was able to start back up and get back to everything. I hope that everything goes well for you and your family in the future, and I hope that this Christmas turns out very well.
