Hello,
Can anyone make suggestions on table service restaurants at various price points suitable for a quiet date? Also, both casual and finer dining locations would be appreciated.
Thank you very much!

I think the only place at WDW where you are almost guaranteed a quiet date is Victoria & Albert's. However, if you're looking for something less expensive, with the caveat that these places may or may not be quiet depending on who they seat you near, try Bluezoo, Shula's, or Bistro de Paris, perhaps Citricos or Narcoosees but don't count on quiet anywhere that takes the dining plan. Maybe Jiko, Sanaa or Turf Club because they are out of the way of the parks. Maybe Portobello at DTD but I dont' recall hearing that any other DTD restaurants are quiet.

How quiet do you want?

We had reasonably quiet, adults-only meals everywhere we ate except Akershus: Boma breakfast, Jiko, Narcoossee's, Sci-Fi, Kona, Cape May breakfast, Mama Melrose (except the waiting area, that was loud) and Kouzzina. Really! Everyone pretty much kept themselves to themselves.

But the only one that was what I'd call romantic was Jiko.

I echo others' suggestions for Jiko. When you check in, ask if it's possible to be seated in the wine room. It might not necessarily be more quiet in there than anywhere else in the restaurant, but because there are only a handful of tables in there, it feels a little more intimate.

When you say quiet, are you meaning secluded and silent, or just a restaurant away from kids and tons of action?

If you just want a place to eat that's good and isn't swarming with kids and buffets (more of an adult place), I suggest Jiko, CG, Artist Point, Portobellos... Or how about San Angel, always seemed quiet to me (maybe because you can't see the person in front of you!), Kona Cafe, and Coral Reef.

If you book later on in the evening, most of the families have hit the road and you are more likely to have an adult dinner. :thumbsup2

I can't any longer put California Grill on a list of restaurants that aren't "swarming with kids." There are plenty of kids there every time I go these days. Most kids are very well behaved though. However, CG is not a sedate restaurant by any stretch of the imagination - probably due to the space it occupies, it's rather noisy and bustling. The wine room might be quieter, note that there is no MK view from there though.

Artist Point might be good though - although any place on the dining plan is going to have lots of kids, unless you book later, say past 8 pm.

I would have to agree the later the better. Some of our fav's as 2 adults are Jiko, Artist's Point and California Grill.

I say quiet might be dinner around 9 pm. Now V & A when I was there you could have heard a pin drop. The other places I would suggest that might be a lil quiet would be the 2 tbs services but remember your in Disney with people from all over the world that eat all different times.
