dates for easter 2005

hi, sorry if this has been asked before but does anyone know when easter is in 2005, i have the kids school time table and they are off in march but thought i remembered reading that they are not off at easter this year, but could have got that wrong, any help appreciated as we are trying to move our holiday and are trying to find times when kids off but parks wont be to busy!! and would like to miss easter rush thanks susie

Very confusing!! It seems that Good Friday is 25th March but my daughter doesn't break up til 30th March which is after Easter!! They have 3 weeks holiday though whereas I think a lot of schools only have 2.

Probably doesn't help you much but I can see why you're struggling for dates!

Many LEAs are moving to a new school year soon, contact your LEA to get full term dates. My understanding is that Easter will be fixed, with the bank holidays (Good Friday and Easter Monday) forming a separate long weekend if they fall outside the set fortnight, so you should see that in the local authority info too. There are also some websites which give the Easter dates years in advance. Try a Google search?

thanks for your replys, found out that our schools are on holiday from 18 march till 4 april, so its right over the easter break, there doesnt seem to be a time available when the kids are off and the parks are not so busy, so will just have to try and find a time when they are less crowded than others, we have booked to go over christmas 04/05 but the crowds are really starting to worry us, will we still be able to enjoy our holiday if the parks are packed tight!! any ideas greatly appreciated susie

How lucky you are to have the school dates so far in advance.

At the moment I only have the school holidays up until they return after the Summer break (Aug 2003) and have had to 'guess' on the dates for the October break and have booked my flights etc - I got it wrong this year and my 3 children had to have their records marked as having 'unauthorised absenses' I phoned both the High School and the Primary School and neither could give me the dates for next October!

We wanted to book for Feb 2005 and the school didn't have a clue but I looked at the County website and they had the dates for all the holidays for both this academic year and next.

Our kids are also off from the 18/3 to the 4/4, we have just booked to fly from Manchester with Virgin on the 12/3 for three weeks, hopefully this will give us a chance to visit the parks before the easter crowds hit.
