Date nights

We will be at AKL 9/3-9/11. DD & SIL will be joining us until the 8th. I have 3 ADR's for those final nights with just DH & I. I've noticed that Bluezoo, Topolino's, Shula's, Yactsman, & Il Mulino all have openings. Would you make the change over to these, if so, why?

We currently have

9/8 Sanaa
9/9 Flying FIsh
9/10 Jiko

Personally I would replace Sanaa with something from your list - both Jiko and Sanaa are African inspired menus, so I would keep Jiko and branch out for something different!

I would not recommend Il Mulino - worst meal we had on our trip earlier this year. Yachtsman is one of our personal favorites!

While we love Il Mulino, its not really a date night kind of place because its very loud. YSH has been getting some poor reviews lately which would give me second thoughts about it. The others sound like good choices.

Sanaa is actually Indian/Pakistani rather than African like Jiko, so not really a duplicate. That said, I might replace Sanaa with Topolino’s - if you can get it! My experience with the others was too long ago to be relevant now.

Shula's. We've eaten there 6 times, and every time is constantly the best steak on property. Yachtsman is great, but Shula's is just better.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is the best. Can’t go wrong with it.
