Planned a quick trip to see Toy Story land and go to the Halloween party as my last non child trip to Disney.

What would you guys say is a great date night diner nothing upscale, just a nice night out at the Springs or Hollywood Studios.

I agree with the above post for The Sci-Fi. If you choose to eat at Disney Springs, than maybe something on the water (The Boathouse or Paddlefish).

I would take the boat from the Studios and go to Flying Fish. I have read that you can split a steak and lobster tail supplement between two people, and the total is quite a bit less than ordering two entrees.

The drinks and appetizers are superb there; the service and atmosphere are unmatched. Definitely romantic with a stroll on the Boardwalk after dinner. :)

I agree. I would choose FF hands down. The atmosphere is very much changed from the "old"" FF and is more adultish, and the food is outstanding. The Boardwalk is nice after dark, so as JerseyJanices suggested, strolling around is nice. I woudl also suggest stopping for a cocktail at one of the many lounges to choose from within the resorts or at Acabrcadabar.

My husband and I enjoyed Shula's at the Dolphin on one of our recent trips. Excellent steak!

I haven't been to Flying Fish, but from what others are saying, it sounds like a good choice, too. Plus, the Boardwalk! You can share a sundae from Ample Hills after your meal. Yum!

So true! While the desserts at Flying Fish are spectacular and I’ve heard the chocolate lava cake at Shula’s is incredible, you will need a breather after appetizers and entrees. Skip dessert at the restaurant and go to Ample Hills after a nice walk on the boards.

Todd English Blue Zoo, Yachtsman Steakhouse, the Edison at DS, Boathouse at DS, Teppan Edo at Epcot

I would consider many of the above suggestions as upscale, since many of them are signature restaurants. The remodeled Ale & Compass restaurant at YC is nice. I also like Grand Floridian Cafe.

Our favorite date night is one of the signature restaurants.
California Grill - we book it to watch fireworks during dinner
Jiko love walking around the Savanna and seeing the animals before dinner
Flying Fish walk around the Boardwalk after. Or watch part of Illuminations.
Il Mulino
Artist Point - love walking around the resort. Unfortunately sounds like it may be moving to character dining, so that would go off our list.
Raglan Road the band and dancers are so much fun to watch.

For ambience I would recommend Victoria and Alberts. For less expensive and easier to get in to, try one of the other nice restaurants at Grand Floridian.

For excellent food in a typical high class restaurant environment, try California Grill. Try to schedule it for about 1/2 hour before fireworks start. If you can’t get a reservation, ask Togo to the California Grill Lounge. The lounge is connected. The table settings there are not formal, but you can order the same food.

We totally love Artist Point and Raglan Roads....we book them every trip!!!!

If you are looking for a romantic dinner then I would HIGHLY recommend Artist Point over California Grill. California Grill is NOT romantic....it's NOISY, good but NOT great food. Yes you can see the fireworks from there but that is the only thing the restaurant has going for it. If you want fireworks and a romantic dinner, try Narcoossee's...better food and more romantic than California Grill.

We went to Trader Sam's at the Poly for our date night and it was so much fun!!! Some tiki drinks, apps, and all the fun little special effects were great, and we wouldn't normally go with kids since you can't ADR it and we don't like to wait with kids in tow, plus I believe it is adults only after 8pm.
