I'm planning an 11 night vacation to WDW Poly for next June with myself, DH, DD8 and DS6. DH and I are sending the kids to the Poly kids club one night and we're looking forward to a nice quiet dinner. We're doing the DxDDP and plan on the following signatures...CG, Narcoossees, and Flying Fish. Which of these should I reserve for the date night? (We'll be bringing the kids with us to the other 2). TIA!

None of these 3 restaurants are quiet, by a long shot.

I would rank the food Flying Fish, CA Grill and Narcoosees. Narcoosees is my least favorite of all upscale dining at WDW.

If you want a chance at quiet for a restaurant that is on the dining plan, your best bet will be Citricos, Artist Point and maybe Jiko if you get lucky.

Agreed - none of these (CG, Narcoossees or Flying Fish) are really quiet. The food is excellent, but not quiet. However, you can enjoy fireworks from both Narcoossee's & Cali Grill).

Victoria & Albert, as well as, Citrico's are more quiet (and part of Disney Dining).
BlueZoo is also a consideration (but not part of Disney Dining).

We enjoy date nite too!!

Just to be clear, V&A's is NOT on the dining plans, however Citricos is.

I agree with the previous posters who say that those 3 restaurants are not really "date night" material if you are looking for a nice quiet romantic meal.

But, then again, it depends on what you consider a date night.

Even though my girlfriend and I don't have kids, we treat every night like a date night. Some of our nights are quiet where we go to Jiko and then watch the animals in the savanah (with and without night vision goggles) or grab a drink and sit by the fire pit. Or we go to Citricos and then go out and watch the Electrical Water Pageant (or watch the pageant first then go to our ADR). Or sometimes we go to Flying Fish and then head over to Jellyrolls for a few hours and sing and drink the night away (sometimes with a round of mini golf at Fantasia Gardens before hand). Or it can be as simple as a nice dinner and a walk around DTD, go up in Characters in Flight and stopping off for Ghirardelli's for dessert.

First decide if you are looking for an active adult night without the kids or a quiet night with just you and the hubby away from kids in general. Then the date night choice might be more clear for you. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the advice. I guess we're not concerned so much about the restaurant being noisy...I'm mostly wondering which of these restaurants would be the least appropriate to bring kids to. Any thoughts?

Of the three [3] - CG, Narcoossees or Flying Fish - all are fine with children. After all, it is Disney. My 2-year old has been to two [2] of them, and the third this coming December.....

Only Victoria & Albert is deemed too stuffy for children.....with a jacket required for any age gentleman....
