Hey Guys,
I spoke to the wedding consultant today and everything just fell into place. The date, ceremony venue and reception venue I wanted were completely available which makes me think that this was more destined to be than I already thought.

So I am giving you guys the information so brides and grooms that have done things at the venues I chose or during the time of year can give me tips and advice.

Date: December 17th, 2012
Ceremony: 10am Sea Breeze Point
Reception: Brunch Backstage prop shop- Hollywood studios
theme: vinylmation/star wars

I am beginning to look for officiants so if anyone has any suggestions and also just anything anyone would like to throw out there as far as creative ideas to do things. I am your non traditional bride just a little background I write for a star wars fansite and I run my own star wars and other sci fi/fantasy related blogs. I collect toys, legos and comic books and yes I am almost 27 lol. I love purple and I like being non traditional but with a very classy side. So if that helps and my favorite holidays are halloween and christmas.

So anyone that has done ceremonies or receptions at these places or are going to and people that have done things in december your help is welcome. even people that have things they would like to share I will take any and all your help.

thank you and may the force be with you

When you said you were a non-traditional bride and your love of the color purple, I had to post you this beautiful picture of an Alfred Angelo wedding dress.

wow thanks that is a gorgeous dress. I would post a picture of my dress but my DF might look on here since he is a DIS member too. To explain non traditional, my ring's center stone is a purple sapphire. also in addition to this we are planning the wedding without being officially engaged I know crazy right....well he wants to get married in 2012 and he is getting the ring made custom so he has to wait to propose. However if we wait on planning then a disney wedding may not happen so...here we are...I know people have said you cant plan when you arent engaged but I do have a ring on my finger he gave me as a place holder ring because he wants the actual ring to do the romantic proposal.

we also met first on the disboards then met for the first time at disney with our first date being DHS, narcoossee's, float parade, wishes at MK and EMH at MK that night with our first kiss at the contemporary with the castle as the backdrop....so we have to get married at disney lol :)

thanks for the picture it is gorgeous

UGH! Where did you find the purple dress on the site and are there more colors!!? It's so hard finding awesome dresses in minty green, yellow and black and white. So hard! And you collect toys? I collect all sorts of Vinyl from Japan and American artists. It's so addicting!

Congrats on setting a date and picking your venues! I adore the prop shop!

For an officiant, I'd look into Tim Herring. :)

The closest dress I found in a minty green is a dress under dream in color and the color is glass green. I couldn't find it under yahoo images to upload on here sorry.

Since you are not religious and very non-traditional, I'd think about having someone very close to you officiate. I first saw this on Friends how many years ago and knew that's what I wanted. DF's oldest friend and one of my closest friends are officiating and I am so excited. It also gave me a chance to write the entire ceremony and put in what was most meaningful to us as a couple. Good luck and have fun!
