My son and I will be joining some extended family on a trip next year. We are used to using the DAS with him. My cousin will have her little one. How does DAS work with rider swap? He will ride with her so can she take the two older kids through with the DAS and then I take them through with rider swap?

I am not sure how many you can take with rider swap at WDW, last I heard at DL, you can take one person with you now, not two for rider swap. But last I checked you could indeed use DAS and rider swap together.

Yes, you may use DAS and Rider Swap -- the DAS holder must ride as party 1 and tap-in first, then party 2 gets the swap added to their bands/tickets. Last I knew Rider Swap allowed for 3 people in party 2, so the 2nd adult plus any 2 of the kids.

As I said, I am not sure if WDW also made the change at the same time DL did right before everything shut down or not.

Rider Swap has been in-use at WDW since the parks re-opened last summer. A total of 3 guests may ride as the second party. If you have a large party, that may be 3 who haven't ridden yet; if you have a small party, up to 2 guests who rode as party 2 may ride again with the adult who waited.
