I was issued a DAS this past Nov (just me, DH and DD). Next month we are meeting my family for a reunion so there will be 10 of us. It's rare that we vacation together so it's not like it'll happen every year.

We actually only used the DAS once during our week so I by no means abuse it. We try to get there early and also utilize fp+ but I'm wondering if I would I be able to get 10 people listed for this trip. I know the rules...again, I do not abuse it. But I'd like to have it in the event I need it and we're all together.

Can anyone advise? TIA

I think that for parties more than 6, you need everyone present to get that many on the DAS?

That is true.

Anything over a total of 6 people requires a Guest Relations manager to approve.
If you need the accessible entrance for any attractions or need accessible seating for shows, your party may be asked to split your party to be no more than 6. That is usually because of the space that is available at that particular attraction.
Handicapped parade or illuminations viewing areas may also limit the party to no more than 6.

And I honestly wouldn't expect to be allowed to sit together as 6, either, especially at busy times. We are usually a party of 3 and have sometimes been told just 1 can join as companion to sit in the accessible seating (shows or parades) and the other would need to sit elsewhere. Not always, but sometimes, so presumably it is up to the CM at the time how many "companions" are allowed to join for accessible seating locations.

Enjoy your vacation!

Yes - very much depends on how busy it is and the arrangement of seats.
For example, at American Adventure, there is one Companion seat for every wheelchair/ECV spot. That is the set up in many of the theaters (I was thinking mostly if rides when I wrote - a bit sleep deprived here.
We've been in shows with one companion seat per spot where a group of 8 insisted on all sitting in the back together - despite CMs asking them and explaining why. They insisted it was their right.
This meant they took up ALL the companion seats. So some people had to sit alone in their wheelchairs and we could not stay since DD needs someone to fit next to her.

Definitely understandable, I wouldn't expect that kind of treatment. We do like to stick together for the most part, but with the three fp+ and getting to the park early on I'm hoping I won't have to use the DAS that much.
