DAS video call questions

Hi! I read the DAS changes summary, but still have a couple questions. It says you need to log in to your MDE account. Does it have to be the account of the person needing the DAS? My mom is the DAS user, but we usually use my account to plan. Can we do the DAS video call through mine or does it have to be hers?

Second, can we try for video call with multiple devices at the same time? Like try on a laptop and a phone to see which goes through or will this cause issues?

It doesn’t have to be the account of the person DAS is being requested for. That person needs to be on your Family & Friends and be present during the video call.
If you are the planner for the Family,

Use only 1 device. Some people tried in the beginning to use 2 - probably all it did was tie up more resources.
Now, the website says to log into your My Disney Experience app; you can do that on the app or from the Disney website. People who tried 2 devices recently have reported the same chat showed up on both devices.

Number of devices won’t matter. It all takes place in your account’s chat box, not a separate call queue per user like if you were calling into a phone hotline. Not sure if multiple accounts would make much difference. We found it easiest to do the chat on my phone. Since it’s all houses in the account chat, it doesn’t matter if you close your phone and walk around. I just checked every few minutes or so. Eventually they will answer and typically stick around for 10 minutes or so to wait for you to reply.

That's good to know about it the chat portion because I would have totally signed on may computer. Being able to move around with the cell phone is much easier.
