DAS question if we need to leave park for a few hours

So I know if you make the DAS pre-registration choices those are limited to the hour range you are given. The in-park DAS don’t have a time limit, right?

Hypothetical…
If we were in MK and at 10am we got a DAS time for like 12noon for Jungle Cruise, but around 11:30am, we realize our DAS kid needs to go back to the resort and rest, if we come back to MK at 4:30pm can we redeem that DAS for Jungle Cruise?

Now Genie plus you can pick later times if you don’t want the next available time, right? If we have like a 6pm return time but leave the park for a few hours to rest midday, do we lose that 6pm Genie Plus time?

We are going with the realistic expectation that it will be very likely we can only do 1/2 day OR do a little in the morning, go back to the resort and rest for a few hours and do a little more early evening. Our kid’s endurance is quite low. I’m just wondering if when we leave the park does it cancel our later DAS and/or Genie Plus?

The in-park DAS don’t have a time limit, right?

Correct -- DAS is "return after hh:mm" with no end other than park closing. It will remain available if you leave the park for a meal or a rest or to hop. You just can't get another DAS Return Time until it gets used or cancelled.

Genie plus you can pick later times if you don’t want the next available time, right?

My understanding is that Genie+ is "next available" without a choice of times - though you can decline it and try again. Depending on what attraction and what time of day it is at the moment, the return could be well into the day. And I've heard the time is apt to push out from what you expected when you select it. It shouldn't cancel if you leave the park and return, though.

I think you can choose a time on the I$LL attractions, based on availability of course.
