DAS question about family members

I'm currently waiting for a DAS rep for the live chat. (The chat warned that it might be a few hours, like people on here did.) My family (3 people) and my elderly parents are going and we are connected on the Disney app. If I include my parents on my pass, do they have to go to all of the things I reserve? For example, would they still be able to go on Jungle Cruise after they didn't go on Peter Pan with us before that?
Thanks!

Yes, they can join you for as many or as few attractions as they wish - some days yes, some days no; some parks yes, some parks, no. Just make sure they are included on as part of your party from the beginning. As for the Advanced Selections -- if they don't wish to ride they can allow it to expire. For DAS Return Times while in the park you should be able to select which members of the party to include.

No, they are not required to go with you each attraction.

The DAS Advance Selections made in connection with video DAS registration have a start time and a one hour window of time to use after the start. If not used, they just expire, so if the grandparents are listed, but don’t come with you on an attraction, it doesn’t affect anything.
DAS Avance Selections are not connected to DAS Return Times and don’t need to be used before obtaining or using DAS Return Times.

DAS Return Times are made one at a time at the park on the day of your visit; when making one, you can choose which members of your ‘Friends & Family‘ list from My Disney Experience is included in that DAS Return Time.
The person registered for DAS needs to go on the attraction, but you can choose to include or not include members of your group for each DAS Return Time. So, if the DAS holder wants to go on Space Mountain and grandparents don’t, just don‘t choose them when making the DAS Return Time.

DAS Return Times have a start time, but they remain active until used, cancelled or until that attraction/park closes for the day. Guests can only be active on one DAS Return Time at a time, so only Include them in attractions they will go on.
