DAS pass 240 day question

Hi all.

We visited Disney World from December 17th to January 1st and were granted DAS for our son.

We are visiting again from October 23 - November 6th this year, and I've just read that the DAS pass is actually granted for 240 days which would cover this holiday.

Can someone clarify if we need to do anything, or will the DAS automatically add to our hotel / ticket reservation?

That's only for annual passes.
If you have a regular ticket it expires when the ticket expires so you'll have to apply again.

It also depends on the type of ticket that you have and whether or not you are DVC members. So not so straightforward even if your math had been right.
