das on annual pass magic band

since my husband got the DAS on our magic band (my disneyexperience) last fall, does it still show? or do we need to get another one in august? in other words, is it good for the entire year of the annual pass?

don't you love when you find your own answer a few minutes after you ask it. I hope you have a great trip to disney. Also be prepared to re explain why he needs the DAS card all over again there are some times you will not need too but some times you will.

We have Annual Passes and just got our daughter's DAS relinked to Magicbands last week. Our last trip was in October and between then and now her picture got lost, so that needed to be redone (I don't have anything to verify this, but my guess is that they probably redo the picture at least once a year to account for changes in appearance).

I have had my picture redone 3 times since last April and my appearance has not changed in the last 10 years ( besides the 2 times I get my hair cut) going back in 2 weeks and I would not be surprised if they take my picture again.

My guess is that it is set for the picture to 'expire' at one year because many people do change in appearance over a year (weight loss or gain, hair style/color or kids growing). Even though some individual people might not change, it would make sense to update the picture after a year.

You've had bad luck, but i can see it happening - picture might have gotten corrupted, unattached from your file or lost. So, anyone going in needs to plan they might need to get their picture retaken.

I was just letting the op know that it might be more then once or 2x a year I know for some disabilities little changes like this could become a problem ( I am one of them if someone told me last year you will only need your picture taken one time a year then having to have it done 3 times more then Lilly would have been a small melt down for me. But since no one said how often I had nothing to go by I do know a few other people that are like myself and do not do well with change ) I will say that it only takes about 3 seconds to redo a picture
